    I know we are all ready for an announcement and for this to be over, but after the abomination this past season was, this search is the most I've enjoyed IU basketball all year and probably in the last four.

    I told the principal where I work if it went down tomorrow I was giving the kids busy work and streaming ESPN. She is a big fan too and said that was fine. If it does go down tomorrow I can see some of the national media guys getting all sanctimonious saying we shouldn’t be trying to steal the spotlight from the tournament.

    Imagine if that did happen and they had a nice playoff run the recruiting tool that would be and the exposure our program would get. I somehow doubt that would happen though. If he takes the job, he comes asap IMO.

    Let’s say Stevens stays in the NBA and we’re getting a current college coach. Do we want him to flame out early so we can go ahead and get him or make a decent run to continue to build his credibility?

    Probably take another job. If he would seriously consider taking another job, he should be pursuing the New Mexico job. That is a good gig. Manageable conference and great fan support. Alford was stupid to leave there.
