  1. I like  being mentioned there, but I think I saw that Alex McCarthy over at 247 has CB'ed him to Nebraska. Alex don't jump in with those predictions unless he's pretty damn sure. Figuring IU will move to its next option.

  4. He's one of those guys who could lay a number of different positions.
  5. If IU has one coach I don't bother second guessing, its Coach Frey.
  6. That's hard to tell. I'm sure the staff has a pretty solid idea, but I would expect some attrition, but at what level? Looking at the recruits, we seem to be looking for a TE, WR, maybe another OL, one or two DB's, a LB'er or two, and 2 or 3 DT/DE. That's 10, whether we have that many spots or not, I don't know. There may be a few priorities and take the first commits on the rest.
  7. Kevin WilsonVerified account ‏@IUCoachWilson  16m16 minutes ago #BOOM #832 - Its a Gr8 Day 4 #iufb - #Recruit & #Develop!!  #GoIU     Big pickup for the Hoosiers. Mizzou's loss is our gain!
  8. Well, that at least hints we are in it to the wire. Would love to add him!
  9. I have always viewed his dismissal from OSU as a scapegoat move. Can't prove it though.
  10. At least one school of thought is that this is a matter of TENN being overcommitted. That they are looking to thin some recruits out to make room for the major recruits.
  11. I believe backup center Wes Rogers has confirmed that he is coming back for his final year of eligibility also.
  12. We seem to have the connections with local schools, we're just not locking them down. I think IU's chances of recruiting success will always be half local, half south.    The Kentucky model? lol, we seem to have lost the ones we went head to head with UK on. For what good ts done them.   Dead period is over, there were multiple recruits on campus this week.
  13. The other side of that is that in recruiting the Midwest we are competing against OSU, MI, PSU, ND, etc. in a shallower talent pool. Just recruit them where they are, if they're the guy you want.
  14. Have to admit, Coach Allen's photo has a definite Frankenstein quality, and Coach Caton could be the Igor.
  15. Some articles about this hire.   http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/usf-loses-tom-allen-to-indiana/2261606   http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/hoosier-insider/2016/01/16/hoosiers-tap-indiana-native-tom-allen-defensive-coordinator/78901596/   @FakeCoachWilson ‏@FakeCoachWilson  14h14 hours ago Top priority in new hires was the ability to take scary photos. #iufb
  16. I think it is a great move. I was a apologist for Knorr this season, and that was easy to be. I would not have been surprised to see us stick with him. Given more time, getting more of his recruits in, etc. and I think Knorr would have fielded a respectable defense. But this is B1G football and at some point you have to take the guys you have and make it at least respectable. CKW has made comments lately about the defensive culture, and I think that's going to be the kicker, not the scheme.   Wish Coach Knorr the best, I'm sure he'll land on his feet.
  17. And no dickchat.
  18. So far I've seen nothing but speculation.
  19. They kind of go hand in hand. This is apparently a guy Auburn wanted, so he should know his stuff.
  20. Haven't seen what kind of deal CKW worked out. Might be a much better pay rate than that.
