Devries would be a legitimate let down. He's not a big fish by any stretch. I wouldn't be rushing out to get new gear, I know that.

This. It wasn't a guarantee IU would make the tournament, if they had a contract with someone they should've had a plan in case of missing the tournament.

With IU's record of coaching hires he'd have another chance in 4 years when his daughter is in college. Of course then he'd be 52 and too old for some on this board.

Nope. He's a little over .500 in conference and has made the tournament about 1/3 of the time.

If the contract was signed and announcement tomorrow then the details are already locked down. If you turn out to be right you'd be a legend but seems hard to believe.
