It's Indiana, the last 25 years say the odds of an incompetent search are greater than 0. The real question would be are the odds of an incompetent IU search closer to 100 than they are 0.

Can we stop talking about Brownell? I'm trying to pretend the IU decision makers have two brain cells to rub together, and the thought they'd hire him is getting in the way.

May as well just shut down fhe program and divert the funds to football and WBB. Hiring Woodson showed they were deeply unserious, following him up with Brownell would scream that they're not even going to try.

It's IUFB, the bar is set low. Just being bowl eligible every year consistently without making the playoffs would make Cignetti a no doubt grand slam.

Indiana needed to go big game hunting; they couldn't afford the risk of someone like McCollum so yes he'd absolutely be a disappointing hire. This is big boy ball, I don't care what he did in DII.

He's 59. Indiana could get 10 or so years out of him, I wouldn't complain about that at all.
