  1. From the Crimson Quarry...VERY GOOD STUFF; had no idea of the huge family connection to Coach Schilling! "The hire of assistant coach Ed Schilling could prove to be the biggest boon of all considering the history he has in the state. Schilling’s first head coaching job was at Wright State in the late 1990’s, where one of his players was Keion Brooks Sr. Schilling has stayed very close to the Brooks family ever since, and now, 20 years later, Keion Brooks Jr. is a 5-star prospect in the class of 2019 at Fort Wayne North HS. While it’s far from a sure thing that Brooks would come to play under the same tutelage as his father, this is a major development for Indiana in the recruitment of a top talent not only in the state, but nationally."
  2. http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2017/4/17/15320790/recruiting-the-class-of-2018-just-the-beginning-for-archie-miller A good overview article from the Crimson Quarry. Very hot take on Keion Brooks, which will be added to the Keion Brooks thread.
  3. Is there any chance someone goes to a "prep" school for a year? No. ...a player like Gelon transferring to a Jr college and then coming back Nope. _____________________________________________________________________ The last two spots will open when JBj and/or TB goes pro, and/or when current players transfer away permanently. The most likely scenario by far is that both JBj and TB go pro.
  4. Soooo....we should revoke Juwan Morgan and DeRon Davis's scholarships? In my opinion...Your post sucked.
  5. Absolutely possible, but a bit too pessimistic on TB. I'd say JB 95%, TB 65%, Gelon 20%, other 20%. There's been a little bit of barely substantiated whispering about Gelon, hasn't there?
  6. Maybe he will be leaving because he will be getting a college degree, and he wants to play pro ball while his knees still allow him to do so. Just sayin'.
  7. Pretty Joel Berry-esque, eh?
  8. Only if they contacted him directly. Contacting his hs or AAU coach is within the letter of the rule.
  9. I just checked the mod board. Dalton is blaming Kelvin Sampson and Woodrow Wilson for the whole ordeal. Shocking!
  10. Disagree: An almost entirely new roster each year; makes it very, very hard for fans to connect with the players. As soon as you're getting to know and appreciate them...whooooops! They pull the rug out and say sayonara. An annual pre-season top three national poll ranking, usually followed by a slide into the teens or twenties. Nearly no players who come anywhere close to attaining a UK degree Players with very little connection to the university or the student population All this done in the name of monopolizing the national high-end talent, and therein to deliver titles, of which they have one in nine years, and pretty much zero chance of getting one next year If I was a UK alum, and I was willing to make a mockery of the system in order to win, I would want to win BIG. They have not.
  11. Guarantee it. Same goes for Clifton; if he re-commits, it is with an assurance that there is an open spot for him. There has to be.
  12. HUGE AND MOST EXCELLENT NEWS!! Jeff Rabjohns‏ @JeffRabjohns 4m4 minutes ago More http://Peegs.com sources: 2017 forward Justin Smith of Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson has re-confirmed his Indiana commitment. #iubb
  13. On another note, under the category of "How hot can a dumpster fire burn?" I give you...Nebrasketball under Tim Miles: This off-season has seen the graduation of Shields, the transfer of talented, promising sophomore to be Jeremiah Horne, and now the transfer of their two best big men, Ed Morrow and Michael Jacobsen. Their only incoming recruit is the 272nd ranked player in the class.
  14. If it's true that he has no interest in working toward a college degree, then he should go bye-bye.
  15. I HAVE FOUND THE SECRET TO THE MEDIA CONSPIRACY AGAINST US! IT'S: "THE FOOTBALL, THE BASKETBALL...AND JUSTIN BIEBLER!!!!!!"
  16. !!!!^^^^THISlikeTHISlikeTHISlikeTHIS^^^^!!!!
  17. Yeah...due to still being in the injury recovery process, OG can't "test the waters" by declaring without an agent, working out at the camps, and then deciding based on feedback. So, it seems like he had an all-or-nothing-decision. __________________________________________________________________________________ Forwards for next year: TB, DeRon, Collin, Juwan, Freddie, maybe Justin Smith and/or Clifton Moore, and Timmy P. That = lots of talent and lots of options.
