  1. I’m sure that it’s being discussed; wondering how we’re going to add about 15,000 seats to Memorial. Was at a crap-@$$ U Florida game last month and the high, steep monster stadium there is still louder than ours is for an @$$ kicking team.
  2. Walking through the outdoor farmers market in West Palm Beach, Florida this morning. Saw three separate instances where someone was wearing IU gear. Never saw that before, and it’s not because of basketball.
  3. Hey all, a friendly reminder that this convo has completely veered into the basketball forum so pls take it there. Thanks
  4. Even with a giant alumni base and unimaginable success, football only now has top 20, not top ten resources. I’m reasonably confident that Devries, like Cig, doesn’t perceive limitations, and like Cig, he is spending a larger than normal proportion on staff salaries. A competitive budget is needed, but budget isn’t the primary factor for champions. People, process, and persistence is more indispensable.
  5. And the Heismendoza finalists arrive in NYC. Fernando is gracious, charismatic, and classy. Sayin is an outstanding young man. Pavia is one part Jersey Shore reject, one part dumb @$$, and a little sprinkle of hilarious.
  6. Cig says that he sits in on all offensive staff meetings and helps Shanahan game plan. The defense? Cig says that’s all Haines.
  7. Okay. I’m better now. Yaaaaay and then some. This. Is. Great.
  8. THIS IS THE SINGLE BEST SIGNING IMAGINABLE OMG IM JUMPING UP AND DOWN LIKE A LITTLE KID AND RUNNING LIKE MY DOG WITH THE ZOOMIES———-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
  9. Very true. Here's this year's top 20: Pass Completion Percentage 1. Julian Sayin • Ohio State 78.4 2. Carson Beck • Miami (FL) 74.7 3. Dante Moore • Oregon 72.5 4. Dylan Raiola • Nebraska 72.4 5. Haynes King • Georgia Tech 71.7 6. Fernando Mendoza • Indiana 71.5 7. Brad Jackson • Texas State 71.3 8. Diego Pavia • Vanderbilt 71.2 9. Gunner Stockton • Georgia 70.7 10. Drew Mestemaker • North Texas 70.2 11. Demond Williams Jr. • Washington 70.0 12. Brendon Lewis • Memphis 69.7 13. CJ Bailey • North Carolina State 69.6 14. E.J. Warner • Fresno State 69.4 15. Joe Fagnano • Connecticut 69.0 16. Joey Labas • Central Michigan 68.9 17. Luke Altmyer • Illinois 68.1 18. Bishop Davenport • South Alabama 68.0 19. Darian Mensah • Duke 67.9 20. Owen McCown • UTSA 67.8 So who is available from this list: Raiola? CJ Bailey?
  10. IU already knows that this guy is really good, and he is now in the portal. Similar skill set to Alberto. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/5125715/colton-joseph
  11. There are two certainties for me: Cig, Shanny, and Whitmer see Alberto every day and already know if he is going to be their featured heir apparent. If they do not want Alberto to be their guy? They will have a **** ton of portal QB's dying to be the guy at IU.
  12. If the portal abides, Makalusky, Beaumont, Caffey, and Zania will still be in IU's starting lineup two plus years from now, and we're adding multiple four star freshmen to the mix next year. This is a rebuild with a very, very high ceiling.
  13. So now the backup big is… no one.
  14. Heisman Trophy winner. Captain of the nation's best defense. Fernando Mendoza. Aiden Fisher:
  15. Indiana University Football Coach Curt Cignetti:
  16. 3rd and 6 for IU with 2:41 left. Mendoza to Charlie Becker:
  17. 3rd and one with 3:17 remaining. Rolijah Hardy:
  18. He's a 17 year old from Alpharetta Georgia and that was before his official visit. Pretty sure he's got the name down by now lol. Helluva interesting highlight video; runs past people at high level hs ball but long and lanky more than quick. But the super-skill? Those feet - for a long receiver they are elite. Look at the catches and runs starting at the 12 second mark, the 45 second mark, and the 2:10 mark of the video: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19350340/68a4bd89225825e13cdf6cdb
  19. Offer list greatly exceeds the ranking. 6'0", 215? That's a prototype Cignetti back.
  20. Again, would be a big time stay home get. The kind of high level in state recruit that we have missed on in the past and now should be the presumptive destination absent crazy factors. Let's. Go.

  22. Nothing like a sworn rival's message board to get some juicy 'infospeculation'. MSU has a notably interesting thread: https://247sports.com/college/michigan-state/board/93/contents/michigan-has-fired-sherrone-moore-265864597/?page=47
