I don’t think they will either, but zone’s are used to force teams to be more perimeter oriented to shoot longer shots. We will see. :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

At least it wasn’t near as bad as Ron Artest’s elbow (refuse to call him the other name). Lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Want to revisit the Al ejection/foul. I don’t like he did it there, but I like that he was going to give a player a shot to the chops when Arkansas has been crazy physical. He just did it where it was too obvious (even though there refs missed it, shocked lol). It was dumb because of doing it in the wide open, not in traffic. Hope that makes sense. For the record, I don’t want someone to get hurt, but a quick shot that says screw you we will be just as physical. It stinks to not have Al, but he also hasn’t been that good for us recently. Really not a bad half, this game should be more wide open but this team has missed a ton of close ones they would normally make. As long as Arkansas doesn’t go off in the 2nd half with more banked or crazy shots, I love our chances. I wonder if Arkansas will pack the lane or zone? I don’t think they will zone, but I see them doing everything they can to take Trace out of the game. Need our guards to step up and hit some outside shots. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Brunk makes a crazy reverse and then Trace misses a bunny...... need to keep up the pressure. IU is playing well, just missing a ton of close shots. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Arkansas really attacks the initial ball possession and have been successful with it. IU players are going to have to really keep ripping through. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Fun back and forth game. If Arkansas doesn’t hit too many low percentage shots IU should win this game by 10+. Trace needs to be playing quite a bit. Brunk and DeRon struggling with the speed. Brunk didn’t do too bad though. IU needs to settle themselves down with the ball. We play better when we can run, but Arkansas is doing a good job attacking the initial dribble. Also, our guys are rushing short shots. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
I’m of the camp of not doing neutral because IU already compromised once, and with UK’s lack of compromise I’m perfectly fine never playing them. I would love to start a fun home and away series with a west coast or Pac12 team. Gonzaga, Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, etc. I don’t mind having a neutral court game, but there’s nothing better than a rowdy home college crowd, regardless if we are the home or away team. I think it would be neat to add to it. With conference games starting earlier, just make it like the Maui Invitational, but the IU-Purdue game can count towards a conference game (I know some will hate this and I totally get it). Add Evansville and Indiana St., and make it a fun little Indiana Classic tournament. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I’m not worried, and it’s just unfortunate that it may take him until next year to play to his talents. Not to his fault, just a freak injury/condition took away a complete year from him. All of us were hopeful to see what he could truly do, but while there’s still plenty of time left in the season to do it, it just seems more likely this year is strictly getting his feet wet and body getting back into the game of basketball. If it does click for him soon then look out, because he would add a multi-dimensional player that we don’t really have right now on offense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

That could be my problem too. We were trying to pack for our holiday travels and with two young kids, always a pain. Didn’t help my son kept trying to jump on me while sitting on the couch lol. L Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Hey it’s all good man, I have no issues with civil disagreements, which are fun. I get blame goes on the players too, but when we constantly never looked inside or ran specific plays to go inside is why I feel it’s mostly on Archie. Maybe he did, but the players never played with that focus. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Yes, I felt bad for our bigs. It may have been the first play down the court or close to it, but Brunk shot faked, Mooney landing on Brunk’s back with no call. Definitely the story of this game with the physical play that ND got away with. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Regardless of my frustrations, I’m thrilled for a win and only having one loss this season. Huge games for Brunk and Armaan to get it really going for us, and I thought Justin and Trace played very solid as well. I guess just keep winning ;) :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Archie used multiple timeouts during their run, and we still didn’t go inside much. That’s where I find a lot of frustration because there seemed to be no focus at getting it into the paint. Plus, there were more plays ran where our bigs were above the 3-point line setting screens but not diving to the paint. Imo, this is on the coaching staff more than the players. We did it in the first half, and while ND did do a great job adjusting, it still should have never stopped our focus on trying to pound the ball inside. I do agree, but our bigs, while struggling against the double/collapsed lane once they get the ball on the block, can dish it for a good open look. Archie states multiple times before and beginning of the season this team must have post touches to be successful. I think this team needs to be run through the post, regardless if score much or not. Most of my frustration comes from us losing a 16 point lead, and the ball never went into the post to try to right the ship. Our guards aren’t very good when just pounding the ball for 20 seconds. So many times the initial post-up was open, but the guard swung it for a cross screen down low. When things are struggling like they were, just toss it down there initially to let our bigs work. Granted they weren’t perfect and received zero foul calls, they were good shots for the most part. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

My point is our strength was inside, and even though we were struggling we never went back to it until well after we lost our lead. How many of us bashed Crean for similar things? All of us did, I’m doing the same here. Archie’s offense hasn’t our bigs setting screens with no rolling or cutting action to the rim. It was a guard dribbling outside with no purpose. I guess I don’t see why people are upset with people being frustrated that our offense was awful and nothing was done to correct it. The offense stayed the same!
