Just my opinion, but ready to move past the Stevens talk. Let’s talk about our new coach! I’m excited and ready to watch some good basketball again. Really curious to see how he does at IU with top level talent (if he gets them). Seems like he recruits well, so ready to give him time and watch how things shake out. Lets ride!

Please stay ole’ buddy. I know we view this hire differently, but we are all Hoosier fans. I truly think this hire will work out, and regardless if we disagree, we can still have civil conversations :)

I totally get why some are not happy with this hire. Jury will be out on him, but he has a history of turning around programs and doing well. Combine a very solid college basketball coach with IU resources, I think this could be a home run of a hire. Like I said, jury is out but it’s that way with a lot of coaches. I didn’t like the Archie or Woody hire, but I really like this one. Lets Go Hoosiers!

Hey Chris, just for clarification and your opinion, you said that Brad’s biggest regret was not taking it in 2021 (if I misread I’m sorry, I’m always working), then why wouldn’t he now? To me that’s where I’m struggling for it to make since. Please know I’m not calling you out and have defended you multiple times. Feel free to respond via DM. Don’t take the haters seriously, it’s all good!

I want to say this, don’t bash the resident insiders if they are wrong. They are sharing what they hear, but it’s up to the posters to believe it or not. Whoever it is, let’s not focus on fighting amongst ourselves, let’s talk about a new era in IU hoops and how good/bad it could be. We have had to endure 8 years of bad basketball. Not getting political, but it’s like wishing a president would fail because you don’t like them. Worst thing you could do because that means America fails. Be critical, be frustrated, but also understand it could be successful as well. Let’s enjoy the ride, have good - civil conversation, and hope this all works out great for IU!

And did all this without arguably his best player for most of the season. WVU wasn’t good at all the year before, he turned them around quickly! Also turned Drake into a good mid-major program.

He might not be the immediate grand slam, but DeVries is a really good hire if he’s the guy IMO. Just have a really good feeling about him. Won at struggling schools and will have incredible resources here.

I agree with that. IU fans can be disappointed, but it’s in everyone’s best interest to support the new coach. Everyone deserves a chance if they get the job, regardless of opinions.

If it is DeVries, wish him best of luck and he has my full support. If he can turn around WVU with limited resources (I believe that’s the case), then I think he will do well here. Don’t know why, but have a good gut feeling about him if he’s the coach. Didn’t have that with Archie and Woody.

Shooting my shot….. Pearl was rumored to be a yes last year until Buckner said no. If that’s true and it’s being said Dolson has his guy and it’s someone no one is talking about, then I’m calling it, Bruce Pearl. I have no inside info and having fun, but why not put in my guess.

They said golden boy, not minute man.

We gonna fight? lol, jk. I definitely don’t want Brownell and I don’t think a tournament run helps his overall case as a potential IU coach. I think his coaching record speaks for itself, that his recent run isn’t sustainable.
