I mean neither team is very good. But this team looks nothing like Woodson's group from last year. Completely different style of ball.

Could not agree less. I just want to win games... do we think booing Reed Bailey makes him play better? His confidence is completely shot. It wasn't just today, and it wasn't just after a bad play. For at least two games, the student section has booed every time Bailey enters the game, and cheered every time he gets subbed out. Today he catches the ball in the post and before he even does anything, the crowd is groaning. It's not helping.

They were both IU managers under Knight, though not at the same time. Don't know if they are close but I'm sure they know lots of the same people.

Someone in his family may feel that way. And we'll never know for sure. But if IU had an opening that offseason, IU graduate Dusty May would have been widely considered the favorite for the job. I don't know what we gain by pretending like he was never an option.

You mean other than him being an Indiana native, Indiana University graduate, who considered other similar Midwest programs before ultimately accepting a job in our conference?

I try not to follow recruiting too much until they make it to campus. But this kid looks really good, right? Like a potential day 1 starter? -
I'm not sure why someone would decide to be fed up this season, if they weren't already over the last decade. Year 4, late year 3 of Woodson a much darker place for our program IMO. Same with late in the Archie years.

I didn't know there was still a waiting list. How long have you been on it? I'm a season ticket holder, and based on trends this year I bet you get seats next year. A lot more empty seats this season, and resale prices are significantly down from prior years. I thought it was just temporary while football was still going, but it hasn't really changed.

Yea Marquette has a chance to get there. Playing a lot better recently. Up to #99 in Kenpom, from a low of #124.

Sisley is a 4. He got backup minutes as a 3 early in the season when we were short handed. Dorn returning from injury and then earning an expanded role has filled most of those minutes. Not that complicated.

I think a lot of us have been relatively happy with Devries from a coaching standpoint, but less so with his year 1 roster building. So hiring a guy like this to help build the roster feels like outstanding news.

Agree. I'd add "fund-raising" to the recruiting concern, since they are so closely connected now. He doesn't have that super charismatic personality. He doesn't have decades-long personal relationships with key donors like Woodson did. So he needs to win to get everyone on board. Making the tourney this year is an important first step.

I assume Tucker and Lamar are occupying the two "big money" NIL slots on this roster. While Tucker is a good player, his athletic limitations make him more of a glue guy type than a star at this level. Hopefully we can find a star with that money next season. -

Embarassing loss. Just one of those nights. For most of the season we have run really nice offense against mediocre to bad teams, and been completely overwhelmed by good teams. Have to hope it's a roster limitation issue more than a scheme issue. -

Widest in a Purdue win perhaps. But we beat them in Mackey 97-60 in 2013 -

Currently fighting the urge to buy a ticket and walk into Mackey tonight wearing national champions gear from head to toe -
Right on. My expectation to call season 1 a "success" was to make the tourney comfortably. Meaning, when Selection Sunday rolls around, we are just watching to find out our seed. Not whether or not we make it. Even if it's an 8 or 9 seed, that's acceptable for season 1. We are currently on track to hit this goal.

These last 5 years are maybe the best stretch in Purdue basketball history. And amongst the worst for IU. And still, over those 5 seasons Purdue is only 4-5 vs Indiana. Please let us win this game, it would be so fun. -
Are these stats looking at ratings after the season is over, or where the teams stood before the tourney started?
