    I would add that Woodson is given an opportunity to still be a part of the basketball program in some sort of advisory role. Maybe what Matta did a couple years ago…

    Wanna bet if Sisley or any other decent high school recruit commits to Woodson? Woodson is dead man walking next season. It’s part of the problem.

    The odds of Woodson completing changing the offense, changing roster management, and rebuilding the roster (5 or more players) in the portal in the offseason has much smaller odds of happening than any coach succeeding. And that assumes Mgbako, Malik, and Galloway stay….

    Long story short, IU gets nothing from keeping Woodson another year. It’s painfully obvious he should have never been hired and wasn’t a long term solution anyway.

    I think people on this board are really underestimating Cronin as a candidate.

    I think May’s ceiling could be the highest…unfortunately his floor is probably the lowest. I’d be fine with it.

    Cronin has accomplished more the last 3 years at UCLA than IU has in the last 15. I’m not a huge fan, but he could be the answer…..

    He has a Final Four and 2 Sweet 16s the previous 3 years…

    This is the one thing I feel is different this time around. I can’t really find anyone in the media that isn’t associated with IU saying Woodson needs another year.

    IU has been in communication with people outside the university about IU men’s basketball. Who, what, when, and where are irrelevant. If everyone was happy, this would not happen.

    Miller or McDermott…. IMO… 7 years ago it was Holtmann or McDermott.

    Holtmann made the NCAA tourney 8 (7 if you take away COVID, but they would have made it) times in a row before last year. Including 3 at Butler. He was at OSU 6 years before this year.
