As long as the new guy isn’t getting repeatedly blown out in premier non-con matchups each year…isn’t having stretches in conference where they lose *checks notes* 7 of 9 games (or worse) most years they’re coach…and actually puts effort into recruiting relationships so they don’t have to “buy a new roster every year” it’ll be a big step up!

No wonder they got rid of him

If we lose Thursday…our best case, and most likely spot, is in Dayton. That I feel sure about.

It’s really trending this way it seems like

We’ve given the last two guys four years. But, like a few players on the current roster, the last two coaches have proven to be woefully overmatched in the Big Ten. Now more than ever turnarounds can happen in a year or two. This doesn’t mean a final four or even sweet 16 by year two. Our fanbase and brass is smart enough to see whether the team’s quality of play/style is trending upward over time. If it is, we reward that staff with unlimited support, financial resources, and a packed SSAH. The fanbase is the best thing about this program, and we’re not unreasonable in our expectations.
