“Heard he has a major drinking problem”, lol from who? Has drinking ever impacted his performance on the sideline or ability to construct a competent basketball roster in the offseason?
It’s too easy with you Scott.
IU employed a coach for nearly 20 years after being convicted of assault on an LEO. Let me guess, you stopped watching IU in the 80s and 90s or do you just pick and choose which type of assault to be outraged at?
Bob Knight was convicted of assault on a law enforcement officer in a Puerto Rico court and was sentenced to 6 months in jail and faced extradition until the PR governor dropped it due to the costs and logistics. Let me guess, you’re not an All Lives Matter guy?
Don’t feel sorry for me, I’m not a hypocrite.
The case is closed and the door is shut from any potential legal fallout. He’ll be hired in March by some program who wants to win at a high level. I’ll assure you of that.
You don’t know me or have any clue what my morals are. But should you know, my morals have nothing to do with recognizing Beard as an elite basketball coach.
Texas is undoubtedly regretting firing Beard, especially since they fired him before the charges were dropped. The new guy they promoted full time will be gone in two years. But now that Texas has a relevant football team for the first time in 20 years I’m not sure it matters either way.
Mizzou is 8-10 this year. Leaving IU because the fans are too “mean” is the exact kind of move I expected out of Tamar. At least he’s getting shots up this year.
So keep Woodson because we might lose a prospective recruit who hasn’t even committed yet!?!?
This is exactly why IU basketball has been in the crapper the last 20 years.
Just another example of catering to a recruit. “Don’t be mean to the coach because we might lose a recruit”
Culture, culture, culture people. We have have a very soft and fostering one.
Jfc I was literally correcting a false statement made by another individual. I have no interest in discussing anything else you said as it is irrelevant to this thread. Not the time or place.
But that’s not what Scott said lol. He said she decided not to press charges against Beard, that’s not at all how it works. Of course her lack of cooperation played a part, but Scott doesn’t know that.

Somebody with a law degree
Another person who gets it. How many times have Carolina, Kentucky, or Kansas made a bad hire? And when they do, it doesn’t take 20+ years to fix it. Their AD’s also aren’t buffoons either…
