I watched them at Purdue and played very well in that game

For me it is just a lot harder to keep track of schedules today than it use to be. When there were 10 teams we knew we were playing on Thursday and Saturday or Sunday. We also new what channel the games were going to be on. Today with so many teams and channels it is hard to keep track.

A lot of you say you have apathy towards the program but by coming here and discussing them it shows you still care. If fans totally check out and don't bother to even discuss them or show up for games will show the administration you checked out. apathy • \AP-uh-thee\ • noun. 1 : lack of feeling or emotion : impassiveness 2 : lack of interest or concern : indifference.

Just a reminder that everything you read on line isn't always true.

I find it a little funny how many people say they don't care about IU basketball anymore but spends hours a day on here commenting about them.

I have re watched that OSU game a couple of times on YouTube

Damn I feel old because my first real memories come from Woodson playing at IU

I just feel if I leave in the bad times I don't deserve to come back when we start winning again. That is just my perspective

I don't think he isn't fired because of it being bad optics, I just feel it is that they don't believe in firing a coach in season. I would feel that way if we were 8-12 right now. I also don't see what firing a coach mid season does for the future of the program. The only thing it does is ease the minds of the fans knowing there will be a change. It isn't like we can do interviews during the season since the candidates still has a current job. They can do back channel talks even if Woodson has a still coaching so nothing would be different. It wouldn't help in recruiting since we won't be recruiting until the new staff is in place.

I know that but what has nothing to do with what the administration is thinking. You came on here saying they talked to assistants about being an interim coach and now people actually believed that. To me this causes a fire storm when this doesn't happen and everyone blames the administration for backing down. I just don't think those talks ever happened because no AD would go to the assistants before they fired the HC.

Or maybe there were never any discussions about firing him mid season. You believe something to be true and then it doesn't happen then you just think it is because the administration changed there minds. Maybe don't believe everything that is said on here and think it is true

That is where I have concerns because you just take their word as gospel. You believe it then when things don't happen then people jump to the conclusion that the administration is incompetent. The thing is these talks about interim coaches probably never happen but people think they did so you jump to the conclusion the administration backed down.

How do you know what they are worrying about

They might train better but that doesn't make them strong on the court or make them better basketball players. Todays player thinks everything should be given to them without earning minutes. I hate what NIL is doing to college sports and it is definitely a worse product than it use to be.

I would think they would know that Woodson is on the hot seat so they must not care or they have no clue what to a going on.

What I am saying that the coach needs to make the players fear getting benched. If a player knows there are no consequences for playing bad then what will motivate him to work harder. Are coaches fearful of losing the players because they are to mentally fragile to handle being benched or they are afraid they will transfer.
