  1. 24 class PG Fland Guard Mustafa or Harper Forwards McNeely, Newell Center Queen
  2. Steve Eyl played plenty even after those two came here. The rest of those guys were pretty much like Leal
  3. If you try to get all 4 and 4 star players you won't ever use all 13 scholarships. Most teams don't use all 13 anyways especially teams like UK, Duke and KU or most of the top teams.
  4. Some of these young guys would freak out the old charge calls. Before if you shot the ball before the contact on the charge the basket would count if it went in. If the defending team was in the bonus they would get free throws.
  5. He came back for the last few games of the year but wasn't 100%
  6. I see the Pacers using #7 on a player like Walker. I then see them using some of the other picks+ players for an established player. They might even put #7 in a trade to get a guy like OG
  7. If you called travel literally to the letter of the law that the euro step and the jump stop is traveling. If you go up in the air with both feet off the floor then come back down that is a travel.
  8. Maybe we should just do away with dribbling and just let players to run with ball like a running back. The game has been played at a high rate for years but young guys want to just change everything. If you have only seen one way of the game being played you don't have the advantage of seeing different ways of playing.
  9. Sure it was, just watch the Georgetown team in the 80's that defense was bad. Our IU 76 team was a great defensive team. Players back in the day were more experience and more fundamentally sound. Teams were better because they stayed together for 4 years. Until they learn the adapt in college the 30 second clock causes to many forced and contested shots at the end of the clock. It also caused every team to play the same way and there is very little originality in the offense today. You had teams average over a 100 before the shot clock but also had teams run good offense until they got a good shot.
  10. Is shouldn't but coaches today don't start their offense right away and wait to long to get into it . It is funny that the pace today is slower today than it was before the shot clock. Scoring and shooting percentage were higher as well.
  11. For me there is way to much dribbling in the half court and driving out if control to the basket. If teams actually move their players on the offensive end and pass more there would be less charges to be called.
  12. Who said anything about those rules. I like both the 3 point line and the shot click. The shot click should be at 45 seconds and not 30. The 30 second clock leads to way more forced shots at the end of the clock and a little more bad shots taken. When it was 45 you very rarely even noticed the clock because most teams would get a good shot on most possessions. I also think coaches today micro manage to much and don't let players play with de freedom. RMK had the reputation of a defensive coach and didn't allow players to play with freedom which wasn't even close to being true. His best teams would usually get a shot off the first 15 seconds of a possession and averaged it ver 80 a game.
  13. The problem with you young guys is that you don't realize the game actually existed before you were born. The game has been played at a high level for years so no need to change this rule. I hate to break the news to you but the product you see on the court in college today isn't even close to what we saw he the 80's and 90's. Some of the play today is almost unwatchable
  14. Figured he would go to Nebraska
  15. It has been part of the sports since the game was invented. It is a good defensive play and anyone who thinks otherwise don't understand the game. I am tired of people trying to change everything about the game that has made the game great. Why not teach today's player how to pull up and hit a jumper instead of trying to go all the way to the basket.
  16. Why is that because that is part of defense. If the defender is there in time and is set why should the offense he allowed to just roll over someone.
  17. Who are you George Jefferson
  18. I don't know what else that Flory needs to see from IU for him to not be real interested in IU. He has been here for plenty of visits and seems close to Cupps. I don't know what a Howard and UM would have to offer that is better than IU. Besides the connection with UC I don't see the draw of them.
  19. So you don't think losing McCullough is a big deal.
  20. The doom and gloom comes from watching 50 years of IU football. We might be getting good players in the portal but it hasn't helped with winning.
  21. I see him going to Nebraska
  22. The other day there was an article saying it was IU and Rutgers in the lead
  23. You still upset with the Pacers for not picking Alford
  24. Reeves, better shooter and won't tie up a scholarship
  25. Look up at the last few pist
