  1. IU LADIES most pressing need is a big complimented with Lilly. My prediction is that a healthy Bargesser makes a big jump 2024-25 of improvement including scoring.
  2. Why are all these players even from winning teams that play a lot and have good numbers want to transfer just decimating their team from last year??? I can’t imagine any better facility than what IU has plus the crowds especially at the big games. Surely, significant additions will come from this transfer portal to IU Ladies program.
  3. Latest Lucy Olsen list who is making hardest push for her IU not listed though it could be who made the list….Iowa, Stanford, Tennessee, Maryland, Michigan, LSU, West Virginia T. Moren and IU Ladies seem to be in prvivacy mode when it comes to transfer portal.
  4. 200% agree. And what has been created in the Assembly Hall gym with fan/crowd and facility support it seems that there has to be around top ten team level recruiting results should be the norm (development of lower level recruits only goes so far without elite level players blended in). Assembly Hall experience is one that is like a Rock Stage performance. (A growing monster has been about 85 to 90 % created….does it die off to that mid big ten range or grows to a 100% T-Rex). (IU Ladies have made efforts to recruit elite players out of high school). and IU Ladies are going to have to get a couple from transfer portal this year. Plus T. Moren works with USA teams on national level.
  5. Knock on Wood. IU Ladies are holding steady for stability and should be program proud for no names on transfer portal this year.
  6. Way to early lists do have validity. Yes there are exceptions…you can always point to team or that team circumstances, inaccuracy and roster change, however going with percentages it is a snapshot of who needs to rebuild, reload, or those closest to setting with the strongest teams.
  7. programs that have recruited a player to the extent to be in the mix regarding almost all recruits are top priorities for those programs with a few exceptions.
  8. Phelia/Mich no longer with do not disturb (contact) tag. What a big mess….. wonder if some programs have to scramble to field a team for next year. hard to keep up with the spelling on all the names.
  9. Sunday April 10, 2022 T. Moren announced the addition of Geary, Scalia, and Parrish to IU Ladies Basketball program….Expecting that a similar announcement from the 2024 transfer portal is getting closer.
  10. So, do the wanted Indiana State Sycamores go to St Louis, Purdue….or Indiana?? They seem to me not to be stupid and may not want to play for a stupid program whoever that stupid program may be.
  11. UCONN loses to Iowa. Next morning one of the most highly rated in class of 2024 commits to UCONN…similar results in past for SC and a few others. IU Ladies work hard for all it gets especially since recent success and the atmosphere including the fans/crowds at games and a well respected coach and staff. To hold serve or more IU Ladies are going to have to get 2 of these all star players from transfer portal that fits.
  12. Is there a Transfer Portal All Star Team that would make up number 1 ranked team for 2024-2025? (Preseason)
  13. There are several players in transfer portal and IU Ladies need a couple. Here is a good one…among other good forward/post players….Tamia Gardiner / Oregon State. And Grace Vanslooten / Oregon. There is a lot of playing time in the forward/post available for a high level player. One of these plus another high level player would get IU IU Ladies reloaded.
  14. On a positive note IU men’s basketball would have had a 50/50 shot at making the sweet 16 if an NIT bid was accepted.
  15. Why would IU Ladies be ranked in top 25 at this point in the year? Always competitive, yes. But for championships: Need an inside impact player (6’3” plus that’s healthy), and either or both a sizable mid range player and or a really good guard….and get it all to mesh in playing time. Bargesser has improved and played well. Lilly needs help and can share time. Henna is what she is and a role player. The rest of the bench can play but has a long way to go to be even close to featured players and that goes for the freshmen coming in as well. probably 2 or maybe at most even 3 players that can actually help and share in a big role from transfer portal needed to seriously compete for a big ten championship and going beyond sweet 16.
  16. Back in the day it was Branch McCracken and the ‘Hurryin’ Hoosiers.
  17. Point wise T. Moren and the Indiana Ladies came the closest to beating South Carolina at minus -4 in March Madness and only Tennessee all year came closest at -1.
  18. In today’s climate of NIL and coaching money etc etc etc….. I wouldn’t be opposed to a losing non winning program if there was a coach and staff who could stay around for a quarter of a century and the bulk of the team were 4 year players. That way I could actually learn the names of players, coaches and have the team and program grow on me so to appreciate it. Welcome, would be a couple or 3 at most 4 (4 would be exception to the rule) non 4 year players across a 4 year period. So there would be a coach who would grow old to or near retirement and teams of 12 with no more than 2 or 3 transfers. Always have a team of 9, 10, 11 or even better 12…. 4 year players (unless there was the exception to the rule situation). That way I could actually get to know the players/team who I was cheering for.
  19. Congrats, Arielle in her recent performances including the March Madness Final Four making a positive impact on the game and representing the Indiana Ladies Basketball Program in a positive way.
  20. Congrats to Arielle in her recent performances including at March Madness final four impacting the game and representing the Indiana Ladies Basketball Program in a positive way.
  21. Has anyone seen Coach Woodson walking to the bank this morning carrying his briefcase?
  22. Up 7. Milk the clock. Get something going towards basket and either layup (force ref to make a call) or kick out for mid range or 3 ball on closing possessions. Clock was becoming your friend. Has nothing to do with changing who you are. Indiana State has done that before. Taking 3 ball shots early in clock at that point in game = turnovers. However, excellent game by both teams and great season for Indiana State. (overall Seton Hall controlled the game just a bit more than in a home crowd Indiana State and physically a little better team)
  23. Cheers and Congrats to Sara Scalia 3 Point Champ 2024!
  24. Around 2:57 to go in the game it was 77-70. Indiana State had just made back to back 3 balls. Seton Hall called T.O. Coach Swertz should have had team to milk clock and go to the bucket for layup or kick out for 3 ball. Instead Indiana State simply came down and shot 3 ball way to early in shot clock and did not score and was out scored 9-0 to end the game.
  25. Per T. Goodman Van Lith next up in transfer portal and it’s definitely a No. However, she can play somewhere else.
