Waiting until half time to switch Yarden to guard McMahon…that’s why they call it half time adjusting…it worked out…it didn’t give opportunity for OSU to readjust at half time…OSU had to readjust in timeout huddles after realizing what was happening to them (in 3rd quarter).

The IU IU LADIES BASKETBALL PROGRAM is a BEAUTIFUL THING. The Mackenzie Holmes journey has become a GREAT AMBASSADOR representing IU on the court, off the court, in season, off season with teammates. Her journey is a GREAT example of a student athlete or any student ENJOYING the APEX in the college experience.

Not sure about the functionality of family life regarding victims but a total of 6 kids lost their mothers in just this one incident.

IU Ladies end regular season with a pretty brutal 6 game stretch (if Purdue included).

I think? rankings come out on Mondays before IU Ladies win over Michigan and OSU loss vs Iowa. An IU Ladies win vs OSU will move IU Ladies up….should be top 4.

I thought the refs on a few foul calls as probably in 3 or 4 main ones assisted Michigan to make a bit of a run later in the game.

One of my favorite plays was towards end of game when T. Moren inserted Scalia into game and on out of bounds play put ball in her hands and she simply dribbled around until she got fouled….And capped her game off with 2 free throws.

SARA SCALIA!!! Turned into a kind of sloppy win that should have been a 15 to 20 point win. Choppy rhythm…. missed free throws and layups but rebounding was good.

6 is an excellent place to be. Win one and hover around 6, win next 2 and slip into top 4. then there are 8 games of which 6 are a tough road to travel.

As good as the big ten is up and down the top half…IU Ladies need to win them all. Illinois is first one down. Yes, Stanford, Uconn, and let the IU Ladies know if someone finds a potion to beat South Carolina. LSU and everyone else including IU Ladies are pretty beatable…just whoever has the best game and whoever shots go down. (I would put UCONN and Stanford in this category as well to a lesser extent).

I agree. Not sure what happened regarding adversity or reason she quit other than she did not realize what a blessing/gift it is to play in IU Ladies program vs what she thought she was or was in high school.

This win is the way it’s supposed to be. (if championships are going to be won). 1 down and 2 to go in this first game of 3 straight ranked opponents. Then, in about a week after this stretch of games turn around and do a four game stretch of ranked teams with a couple of Purdue games on top of that besides Rutgers and Minnesota.

Last year S.S. had the ball in her hands and unlimited green light each game. Though a much better defensive player in IU system…an example of her offensive struggles showed at end of quarter 1. S.S. had ball in her hands with 5 seconds to go and indecisive dribbling like looking to pass…S.S. Just shoot the ball. Then, she missed another 3 attempt later. She seems to be really down. T. Moren (sure rest of staff) still has said good things about her and is trying to keep her confidence up.

Can’t get them all and hard to get any…but…Her and Addison Bjorn 2026 would be a wrap with a big girl.

IU Ladies by 7+ (my take on game)

Kinda like a young Larry Bird in play characteristics.

Illinois has really good spacing and can shoot 3 ball very well. IU Ladies really need 3 wins and 0 losses in next 3 games. (everyone wants to win). the guard penetration almost beat IU Ladies by herself in first game. I expect IU Ladies to answer.

Bargesser a track star as junior in like 3 running events…. after basketball injury in senior year she competed in 1 track event and was somewhere around 4 seconds slower in 400 meters. Not sure where her running times would be now. However, she is pretty quick and fast and T. Moren and staff have stayed with her.

I am predicting win over Purdue.

My prediction only. IU football wins 2023 over and under 4.5.

IU Ladies about to enter their most challenging 3 game stretch of the year followed by a couple games that include Purdue and then another EVEN more challenging 4 game stretch ending with Purdue. IT’S JUST GETTING STARTED.
