  1. Welp, Purdue's got the lead. With Baezlak playing, that means we ain't winning.
  2. Oh, no. Don't tell me he's playing. I know Dexter's out with injury, but is it so bad this ****er is out?
  3. Maize and Blue coming down here next Saturday. But let's hope a certain other school doesn't come.
  4. When the Vanderbilt fans laugh at you, you know your program is SOL.
  5. I don't even care if we somehow stumble into a crappy bowl game at 5-7; this is our Rose Bowl.
  6. I am not complaining about the injury happening in the ballroom. That happens anywhere. I'm complaining more about the ballroom itself. There's at least half a dozen arenas in the Las Vegas area that regularly host MMA events, Nitro Circus, Cirque de Soleil, and so on. We're talking Orleans, MGM Grand, South Point, and... if you're really being a cheap @$$, Buffalo Bill's all the way out in Primm. And that's not to mention the new Dollar Loan Center out in Henderson.
  7. Also, grants players a chance to see the country. My issue is the venue, obviously.
  8. Indiana is a team that is still trying to build some kind of identity. For the longest time, women's basketball was irrelevant at IU, outside of the occasional freak conference tournament run. They won the WNIT a few years back, had a few good showings in the NCAA tournament, and got to the Big Ten title game this past season. With the wins and the recruitment, the program should be set for a few years. Unfortunately, it being women's basketball, it has to put up with FloSports appearances and playing in a literal ballroom.
  9. So, this is the floorplan of the Mirage's ballrooms. Floor Plan - The Mirage (themiragebanquets.com) Like... come on.
  10. And it's happening. Either we're the catalyst for Purdue fans never shutting up about their first trip to Indianapolis, or we ruin a bunch of people's dreams tomorrow.
  11. We Kill This Fairy Tale Story on Saturday: 30 Pur Don't: 24
  12. I don't want to root for Iowa but I'm so rooting for Iowa
  13. On the plus side, if Michigan goes to Indy, their fans are big spenders, which is good business for my barbershop.
  14. Just like they were about dancing for decades.
  15. Whenever we see these stupid @$$ graphics that tell us "in this situation, Indiana hasn't won anything since the last Ice Age", it leads to yet another Indiana loss, so it's an even bigger deal to finally break that curse.
  16. Indiana will forever be stuck in the "Chicken and Egg" cycle; people will complain about how they need X, Y, and Z in order to compete, but they have to start competing before they have the right to be given X, Y, and Z. It's the argument that they have to earn their way to success in order to have the basic amenities other programs in the league are granted to show they are serious about the sport. But in Allen's case, I wish he wouldn't compare Indiana to the top programs in the Big Ten. We need to associate ourselves with the middle of the pack, as in order for us to have success, we need to be able to compete and regularly defeat those teams if we are to build a resume to justify the kind of investments to take on the elite schools. It isn't glamorous to say "we should beat Rutgers every year" cause you want to assume you already are able to do that. We're Indiana! But, that kind of malaise can allow Rutgers to beat us 6, if not 7, times a decade if we played them 10 times if we stay pat with this current attitude.
  17. The good thing about being a bad team is making other teams feel worse when you beat them.
  18. At least it wasn't the first play of the game.
  19. Man, finding a whole chicken to beer can on Thanksgiving is harder than I thought.
  20. Good teams compete. Great teams close. Indiana Indianas.
  21. We won't know because Northwestern is a private school and they'll just go "PRIVATE SCHOOL!" whenever someone asks for financial information on their wheelings and dealings. But if its about football, the answer is probably "yes".
  22. The latest excuse from Allen is "NILs are preventing us from being competitive". Yes... about that. While NIL expenses have hampered most schools from getting the top talent, to say that's the only reason why you can't compete is a failure to admit your own faults as a coach.
  23. IUPUI is going to be very stinky this year. I feel like all their wins will be against non-D1 schools while they struggle in league play once more.
  24. It's the ultimate sicko game. I wish I had ESPN+. As the one guy who seems to know IUPUI on here, the reason the suck is they're mostly fresh meat talent and the quality isn't there.
