I think when other guards get physical, he plays on his heels. Isn’t it the coaches responsibility to recruit physical guards that play in the B10 and fit your system, whatever the heck that is

What is wrong with Rice when he plays on the road? Carlyle and Tucker only need to play 10-12 minutes per game until they can find their offense and quit playing them both at the same time

Other than him playing for IU, I am not an overall fan. His offensive skills are very one dimensional and he is not a complete player skill wise. To be honest, he’s probably not hurt, because it’s a win-win for MW. If they win, it’s his coaching and if they lose, it’s because we didn’t have our one-dimensional leading scorer

I think we all see that but Knight put in the work, Woodson has absolutely done 3% of what Knight has done and that 3% is just showing up for the games. It could happen this year, MW skips a game to hang in their guys lodge, eating pizza, smoking cigars and drinking wine

I think this team plays better without Malik and Ballo playing together. The ball doesn’t stick with Ballo but it does with Malik. His first move is always trying to score and take him too much time to start his move. TJD would catch and look opposite or turn and go quickly. With Malik, that comes down to poor coaching and not working with him. He should always have multiple purposes on what to do when he gets it but it’s one move to try and score and then pass if that gets shut off.

In the early 1990’s there was some unfortunate luck like Alan Henderson getting hurt. Those teams were good enough to make it to the Final Four but a key injury here and there derailed that. Then after 1995, players personalities changed toward BK and lost his recruiting edge, with the exception of the 2002 team other than that, it’s primarily the administration not wanting the IU basketball coach being bigger than the University and now we are stuck in mediocrity

If the administration is ok with mediocrity, they would be ok with saying Woodson brought back from the dead with 3 of 4 NCAA tournament births and then they could move on from that and let him ride off into the sunset. But then again QBall could argue the other side of it to keep. It’s a razor thin line but we aren’t making the tournament

Gotcha! I’m not a bracketologist but I don’t see a path either. I see 8 wins at best. He water down the non-con and had a lot riding on the Bahamas. I think Stuhoo and others are right, this is his last year because the water down non-con was by design to pad his win total, they didn’t care about quality wins at this point because if he doesn’t make the tournament, even with 18-20 wins, he can go out with an overall winning record who got us to the tournament twice, lol.
