I agree with most of this! I just don’t think he has the type of point guard he wants or excepts! I think he knows by now that he needs to get a better point guard than anyone he has on this current roster!

I think he was hoping he did with X based off Kenya Hunters recommendation, but X’s decision making and game IQ totally suck! This team will go once X figured it out and that may not be this season. Also, TJD looks the same as he did last year when he plays against bigger and stronger players, doesn’t finish well. And the two open looks that he had from outside, he didn’t hit. He had a crucial miss on the right side of the basket in which he was wide open but missed it badly because he shot it left handed and if he would have used his right hand, it would have been a better angle. He still is left hand dominate and not consistently hitting outside shots!

I agree with not setting good screens. Not good offensive flow and it has led to a lot of contested shots. Penn State’s defensive plan seems to be pushing TJD out of the lane and our guards seem confused

Ditto!!! There is a reason why he is the B10 all time leading scorer! I’ve seen a lot of great IU players in my lifetime, starting with the 1975 team and Calbert was the best and a lot of fun to watch.

He’s wanting to play Lander because he was a former 5 star player and he’s afraid he’ll transfer after the season. I know Phinesee hasn’t played well all season but I’ve season improvement. Every time Lander gets into the game, he doesn’t look good. Not much improvement that I’ve seen. The coaches see him everyday in practice, that’s where the improvement should come and they must not be seeing it either

Less and less is an understatement! We probably get less home cooking than any team in the B10, IMO. I would say top 5 home cooking places in the B10: 1) Wisconsin 2) Purdue 3) Ohio State 4) Illinois 5) MSU or Rutgers tie This my opinion based on when they play against IU

I think our defense was smoke and mirrors in this game. They seem to have a lot of open looks in the 1st half but just didn’t hit them. It thought our defense played the same in the 2nd half but they just hit shots. Maybe our defense really isn’t that good! Wink, wink!

If that ever happens at Assembly Hall, I can see either him or Dolson address on the PA. Unfortunately, this was in Indy and we don’t have control of the PA but it could have been Purdue or ND fans

100% agree. If I was a recruit in the stands watching that game, I would not want to go to that school. I do think we haven’t consistently won for so long, the negativity has now anchored into the fans during games.

I thought Phinesee played his best game of the year and better than any last year. Not to mention, he hit a couple timely 3’s, which could boost his confidence! I think you writing him off like that is too bad. I think Phinesee is going to keep improving and prove all the fanbase wrong! GO HOOSIERS!!!

I really don’t either. I thought we were supposed to have more motion in our offense but there seems to be a lot of standing around until the PG initiates the offense. I think CMW maybe trying to keep it basic because playing motion is more complex than we think and most of these players aren’t used to motion. He wants to play everything through Trayce & Race

I agree with this too! This team is still a work in progress and will continue to improve throughout the year. A far cry change than the teams digression during our last 2 coaches we had. We all just have to be a little patient throughout the season

I think the erratic behavior starts with X and if RP can start taking positive strides like he did today, Phinesee will start and X will come off the bench. If things don’t improve with him over the next several games, Woodson will start to loose his patience with X and he will make the change to go with RP.
