  1. Is there a PISSED emoji I can put on here? We need one for instances like this. Just what the hell was Dane thinking?
  2. Normally, no. Lightfoot was an allowed “Super Senior” due to the extra year of eligibility to all players from the pandemic.
  3. This never gets old.
  4. Let’s be honest: Do you REALLY think Woodson would even ENTERTAIN the thought of going elsewhere? Regarding any additional money, he’d probably lobby for more for Kenya than himself. Being at Indiana is personal to Coach. He is driven to get us back to the top. And he’s well on his way.
  5. With what happened today - and how Coach is establishing a connection with Monteverde - this scenario very well could play itself out.
  6. Think they still lead after today?
  7. He used to be on Rivals, picked Reneau to Florida last August. Should carry some weight.
  8. Not to be Debbie Downer, but maybe lack of OV to Georgia might be because he already knows White and his staff? Still like our chances, though. Adding Reneau would be HUGE.
  9. Will the game be televised?
  10. Our guy has over HALF of all the votes cast. BB, make a trip over there for Jakai.
  11. So the officer was driving south on College - which begins at the light of the 45/46 bypass. He supposedly clocked X running 90 mph, then the cop proceeded to the crossover at the north end of the park and then pursued X. X, meanwhile, had slowed down enough from 90 in 2-tenths of a mile to turn right on the bypass, then go 1-tenth of a mile to turn right into the Walnut Knolls apartments. To get to 2036, X would have traveled 269 feet(where he would have blown the stop sign), turned right and then left to go the last 1-tenth mile to the address. So IF (follow me here) Xavier indeed was going 90 north on Walnut and made all the maneuvers according to the officer, how fast (and reckless) did the officer have to be traveling to catch up enough to see all of X’s supposed movements? Either the cop was even more reckless than Johnson, OR (more likely) X wasn’t going nearly as fast as accused. Does that mean he can’t be held accountable for driving beyond too fast, or excuse his attempts at not only trying to evade capture or switch places to avoid responsibility? Of course not. But something with the officer’s version of events doesn’t add up.
  12. Pretty sure that the connection between southbound College and northbound Walnut at the north end of Miller Showers Park.
  13. Knight tossed 3 guys: Baker, senior Jim Roberson and sophomore Don Cox. Baker was the “best” player of the 3, but was certainly expendable by his production (or lack thereof). Only player I’ve ever known Knight to send packing that was a major contributor was Mike Giomi.
  14. No, they didn’t. Baker averaged 3.1 TO/gm while playing an average of 17 minutes per game. Tolbert had 2.1 TO/gm while playing 31 minutes/gm, 2nd most minutes played on the team. Meaning Ray avg a turnover a little under every 15 minutes he played - while Baker had one a little bit under every 6 minutes he was on the floor. Handling the ball more doesn’t account for Baker having a TO rate over 2-1/2 times greater that Tolbert. It has to do with Tolbert was a MUCH more reliable player at IU than Baker ever was.
  15. You could never be more wrong about Tolbert. His and Baker’s freshman year (1977-78) he was one of only 3 players to play all 29 games, starting 28; he averaged 10.1 ppg (3rd on team) and led IU in rebounding with 6.9 rpg (Baker, for comparison, played in 28, starting 7; averaged 3.1 ppg, 1.6 assists per game and 3.1 TO/gm). The following season (when Baker was sent packing) Tolbert was 2nd in scoring at 12.0 ppg and again was the leading rebounder at a 7.1 clip. Baker was so insignificant I couldn’t find stats on him from anywhere. Tolbert for his IU career averaged 11.2 ppg on 52% shooting from the field and 6.9 rpg. He on a distinguished list of Hoosiers to average in double figures in scoring all 4 years. Just how damn reliable did you want the guy to be?? Ray did it all.
  16. Seems like somewhere I saw his family is tight Carmelo Anthony. And we know who else Carmelo is tight with.
  17. His Rival page says he’s 6-9, 225 https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2022/malik-reneau-268955
  18. Maybe, just maybe, Dane wasn’t our best assistant.
  19. Illinois wants to leave us a present? Let’s return the favor. (this NEVER gets old)
  20. Thanks. As frustrating as tonight was, it could be worse.
  21. Should have never let it get to there, however. Gotta stop letting teams back in.
