  1. If I go down with the ship . . . But that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
  2. Same here. But I still think we get him.
  3. Exactly . As I said in my opening post here - I take info I hear and attempt to corroborate it with other info from various sources/sites. If there was a ton of credence to this morning’s chatter, wouldn’t you think some CB picks would start coming in? Or there be some hint or rumors of it on the ‘Bama sites? There isn’t anything. And my source still says IU. Granted, that could change - but this guy’s gonna keep the faith.
  4. I haven’t heard anything different. I’m not a connected insider by any means. Don’t ask me why, but this has all the feels of a smoke screen . . .
  5. Was it Elmer Fudd making the announcement?
  6. Now that’s one jockstrap I could never carr . . . WAIT! Haven’t we dealt with jockstraps enough?!? See how you all traumatized me!!
  7. Agreed. His frame is such that he could easily add 30 lbs of muscle without hindering his performance - would likely enhance it.
  8. Being a 1-Star Recruit never felt so good.
  9. With him concentrating on hoops AND committing to a school like IU, wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see him end up as a 5 star.
  10. Will be interesting how long it takes for more CB’s to come rolling in. The VT insider was hearing enough chatter early this week to finally convince him to make a prediction. If HE heard the chatter, you KNOW others are hearing it, too. Only a matter of time . . .
  11. Not me - just answering to get the damn thing off me!!
  12. Not to jump off topic, but I hope it isn’t lost on everyone the job a certain guy has done in putting this all together: Scott Dolson. When the search for the new AD was going on I really thought getting Dolson would be a “Fred Jr” selection. Boy, was I ever wrong. His vision in transitioning IU to a program that would appeal to today’s players (ie: kids wanting to get to the pros) was, in hindsight, nothing short of amazing. Woody sells a lot just by being his genuine self. But Dolson made sure to shore up any shortcomings Woody might have had by surrounding him with all the support staff necessary: Matta, Fife, retaining Hunter and Clif and bringing in Yasir, among others. I honestly believe we’re gonna be real successful going forward, mainly because for the 1st time since Coach Knight was let go we have competent people who understand what IU Basketball is all about, and have a product/program that can sell itself.
  13. Guy I get my info from has been pretty accurate in the past, not always right but good track record. I always try to take what I hear and then try to confirm it with other sources/sites (which is why I’ve been a lurker until now). At first I wasn’t convinced a kid from SC would come 8 hours north - the opportunity to play in the ACC in games close to home I thought would be very appealing. But from what I’ve been told, that isn’t a deal breaker. The overall consideration has been where he can get to the next level - and Woody’s experience there has really made a difference.
  14. That’s not happening. I look stupid enough as it is. Isn’t there some other form of lesser punishment - such as root canal w/o Novocain?
  15. Still do occasionally, that place is a zoo. Mods allow everything, even obvious trolling. Gets old.
  16. Talk about a way to generate content . . . I tried to use the PUKE emoji on my phone but it wouldn’t allow me to use it.
  17. And just how do I get rid of the “Purdue Jockstrap”??
  18. First time poster here, been lurking for a long time. I’ve been hearing NC to IU from just after his Virginia Tech OV. And on one of the VT sites tonight their “insider” said he almost put in a CB for IU tonight, but didn’t because he didn’t hear back from a couple of people. Nothing concrete yet, but I think you’re on the right track regarding CB picks. Wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see our Hoosiers with multiple picks by Friday. We’ll see.
