I would settle for us paying 100 million - or 30 million, if that would get the job done. Just anything above giving Woody another year. I would love to see Woody actually retire right before the Michigan State game. The dude is an IU legend and I would hate absolutely hate for him to go out on bad terms. He at least gave it a shot, but it’s pretty clear he’s a square peg trying to fit in round hole. -

The times he has played, however, has been extremely disappointing. In a 5 game stretch from the Minnesota game to Iowa, he had */- numbers of -13, -20, -6, -1 and -13. Not exactly what you want out of a 6th-year point guard. And who can forget his two flagrant fouls and the technical for passing the ball to Coleman Hawkins after making a great play before halftime? Woody could have brought in other guards, but he gambled it all knowing that he had a guy that had been volatile in the past and injured in the past. And we’re seeing the direct result of that misjudgment. -

If anything, Xavier is the reason why this season has gone downhill. Supposedly a lot of guards we were looking at last spring in the portal didn’t want to compete with Johnson for playing time - again, supposedly. XJ is by far the most athletic guard that we have but he has been so inconsistent. You never know what you’re going to get with him. And can anyone say that he would be considered a positive leader? Just as in the video shot of Galloway being frustrated the other day when people weren’t running or even knew the play, good leadership prevents that. Woodson put all his chips in with Johnson, and has continually rolled snake eyes since. -

Don’t sell our fans short. :) -
Cups eventually will be a solid guard. He’s just not ready physically or mentally for this level to be playing major minutes. Trey needs an athletic guard next to him to be effective. He’s a good player but he’s not a difference maker. gun is probably better off at a place like Ball State - not trying to be cruel, just being honest. XJ? He’s always had the talent, but is wildly inconsistent and, emotionally, you never know what you’re going to get on the court with him. He should have been gone after the speeding ticket at the end of the year two years ago.

They Fired Tom Allen!
Tasmanian Devil replied to Hoosierfan2017's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I've known Tommy since the early 80s (his family went to Grace Baptist Church in New Castle, where the brother of my best friends in high school was the Pastor). Always refer to him as Tommy because his dad was Tom Allen, once coach at New Castle. As much as I hate it for the Allen family, this is the best for everyone involved. With the transfer portal and NIL, Allen was going to be behind the 8 ball in trying to recruit. IU now has to decide if they really want to have a winning football program or not. They don't have to be at the level of Alabama, Ohio State or Michigan. But there's no reason they can't be at the level of Wisconsin. They can be a consistent winner and occasionally contend for a conference championship. But the University has to be willing to invest in the program and provide the resources to be successful.
