  1. His best team, in my opinion, was the 75 team. Had Scott may never broke his arm nobody beats that team. Hell ,they were good enough to win the ABA championship that year.
  2. Just as long as you don’t lay as big of one as the namesake, you’ll be OK.
  3. Don’t give me wrong I’d love to have him, But after what happened with Donovan and Stevens I’m wondering if this is a little bit of a smoke screen with BP? Guess we’ll see.
  4. Believe me, son, you missed the good old days
  5. Mine says the same. Whether BP is actually in play I’m not really sure at this point, but I can’t imagine any scenario where Woody is on our sideline again next season.
  6. Really hasn’t been the same since the early 90s
  7. What does your gut tell you, Chris? to me, it’s pretty telling that none of the IU coaches were at sectional games. something without question is going on.
  8. Can’t imagine anybody on this forum that would vote any other option besides A.
  9. I would settle for us paying 100 million - or 30 million, if that would get the job done. Just anything above giving Woody another year. I would love to see Woody actually retire right before the Michigan State game. The dude is an IU legend and I would hate absolutely hate for him to go out on bad terms. He at least gave it a shot, but it’s pretty clear he’s a square peg trying to fit in round hole.
  10. Pleased to God above tell me you’re serious?
  11. It will be really interesting to hear who pulled the alarm. IU was able to stem the momentum after that delay. Without question, that alarm was a significant factor in the win.
  12. Hey, Bucky made it all the way back from 15 down! Gotta do something to break their momentum.
  13. The times he has played, however, has been extremely disappointing. In a 5 game stretch from the Minnesota game to Iowa, he had */- numbers of -13, -20, -6, -1 and -13. Not exactly what you want out of a 6th-year point guard. And who can forget his two flagrant fouls and the technical for passing the ball to Coleman Hawkins after making a great play before halftime? Woody could have brought in other guards, but he gambled it all knowing that he had a guy that had been volatile in the past and injured in the past. And we’re seeing the direct result of that misjudgment.
  14. If anything, Xavier is the reason why this season has gone downhill. Supposedly a lot of guards we were looking at last spring in the portal didn’t want to compete with Johnson for playing time - again, supposedly. XJ is by far the most athletic guard that we have but he has been so inconsistent. You never know what you’re going to get with him. And can anyone say that he would be considered a positive leader? Just as in the video shot of Galloway being frustrated the other day when people weren’t running or even knew the play, good leadership prevents that. Woodson put all his chips in with Johnson, and has continually rolled snake eyes since.
  15. Don’t sell our fans short. :)
  16. True, effort isn’t an issue with him. Hate to say it, but his mental self-awareness can’t be any worse than that we saw yesterday.
  17. OK I’ll bite - who would have you played smaller then? Gunn played 14 minutes, Leal 11. Neither hit a 3-pt shot. Neither are defensive stoppers. So how would playing them be better than the guys that were out there that are actually more talented?
  18. Cups eventually will be a solid guard. He’s just not ready physically or mentally for this level to be playing major minutes. Trey needs an athletic guard next to him to be effective. He’s a good player but he’s not a difference maker. gun is probably better off at a place like Ball State - not trying to be cruel, just being honest. XJ? He’s always had the talent, but is wildly inconsistent and, emotionally, you never know what you’re going to get on the court with him. He should have been gone after the speeding ticket at the end of the year two years ago.
  19. Malik has been a player all year long. He always gives pretty consistent effort - maybe not making the best decisions every time, but effort isn’t something I think that you can put on him.
