Thats pretty dang compelling. Was it publicly known that Brad was going to be at the SEC tournament or did that just come out when he was spotted there this evening? I think if we’ve got people on the IU side who have advance notice of specific planes that will be traveling to a locale that is not an obvious place (Bloomington, Bedford, Florida) where Brad just happens to be…something has to be up.

So just to be crystal clear for myself and everyone else here, is the flight tracker listed above something that RTZ was aware of in the early hours this morning? Not sure if anyone has communicated with them but just wondering if we are making conclusions after the fact, or if this is a rendezvous that was known well ahead of time, which would give it much more credence? (also who’s plane is that)

This is what my gut is telling me, that we have someone that is in a position where they can quietly give Scott an answer and the media runs wild with any name they can get their hands on because they are not getting much information.

I know it’s currently more exciting for us, myself included, that we find out ASAP who our next coach will be. That being said, it’s always heartbreaking to me when Indiana is not in the bracket. I am willing to hold my breath for the announcement even if just for 4-5 days longer because March needs to be fun dangit. I think this is true. Hopefully it is a big splashy hire, but I think historically the blind test would say that big school hires winningest young-ish mid major guy is the most likely outcome in these searches. There are exceptions but for better or worse that is generally the progression of coaches in general. Crush at lower level, prove for 1-3 years you can crush at mid-major, get your shot at high major.

That would not be a bid stealer. Bid stealing only happens if a team that would make the tourney at-large loses their tournament and a team that otherwise would not make it in, gets in as a conference championship. Towson would not be in as an at-large team to my knowledge.

This sums up my feelings on the search for now. I think these two, or the alleged Scranton Strangler, would be our best bets for winning consistently and quickly. I think if we do something other than these three I will be highly skeptical.

I would take that bet for whatever money you would like to put up.

Well, the Hysterics officially sabotaged our Friday Funday. This thread is a headache for about 7 different reasons today.
