This is what I’ve been telling my husband. If he were coach in this situation I would be strongly urging him to announce his retirement effective immediately. Why go through that again. Because if the next home game goes bad, it could get uglier than it was at the Illinois game.

Has anyone heard for sure that Woodson is with the team in Columbus?

My former boss was in his 80s. The things that he would say and not realize were inappropriate were unreal. When he was getting ready to retire he was interviewing people to replace him (he was CFO), and he said that his daughter had recommended someone to him who was a woman. He said to me (a woman) "She recommended a woman she knows, CAN YOU IMAGINE??" I just stared back at him.. He had no clue how bad he sounded.

Watching the women play right now. There is no quit in these ladies. Much different vibe than the men. They are well coached.

    That's what I was wondering.

I have a question. I know that there was an issue with Edey not being able to benefit from NIL, because he's Canadian. How is Ballo able to receive NIL? Isn't he from Mali?

Not everyone goes into the portal voluntarily. Some are pushed out. But also if a kid wants to play, he should go someplace where he can play.

I agree. And sometimes players are very valuable to the team, even if they don't play a lot. I feel like Anthony is one of those players. He seems to be a leader on the team. He is like another coach on the sidelines and when he does play, he knows where everyone should be on every play. And he is a great ambassador for the school, he loves IU. I'll always be a fan of his.

Be sure to include how he thinks he's above the women's team, even though they are the MUCH better program right now.

I have season tickets to the women’s games. I thought it was odd that I hadn’t seen him at a game. Makes sense now…

I wouldn't be shocked if OSU put a clause in his contract that if he left for Indiana, the buyout would be extremely large. I think I read that Teri Moren has something like that in her contract to keep her from going to Purdue.

One of problems with the portal is, we have no idea who will even be in the portal. There may not even be a really good point guard who goes in. And then, we have to be the one who gets him. Its all just too risky. I fully believe next year we will look like Louisville does this year and that is just so depressing. I live really close to Louisville and let me tell you, if Woody thinks IU fans aren't true fans, he should check out Louisville fans. It has been extremely ugly. The attendance at some of their games has been less than 5,000.

Maybe Trey’s coming back, or Mbako?

I think you’re right. Seems like I remember him being really emotional.
