Okay I am not active on the board often. Can someone please explain to me why Steve Alford has not gotten consideration now, or in the past, for the coaching job at IU? It seems like his resume is solid (better than our current and last head coach) and he is an IU guy. Why didn't we reach out to him over Woodson? He has Nevada in the top 25 and back to back tourney appearances. He took UCLA to 3 sweet 16s in 4 years.

Kelvin Sampson is the one that got away...he destroyed us...but man he can coach...Imagine what he could do with IU's NIL....he's got the contacting recruits part down

Bruce Pearl>Dusty May Dusty May isn't a bad consolation prize, and may end up being the better hire down the line....I see much less risk and much greater reward immediately with Pearl. Winning for the next 5 years with Pearl would set us up for the future where IUBB becomes THE destination job again and we can pull any coach we want.

If you guys are into podcast at all I would HIGHLY recommend listening to yesterdays episode of Pardon My Take. Buzz Williams (Texas A&M's head coach) was on and it was one of the best interviews I've ever listened to. Skip to the 48:00 mark and get past the first few questions. The guys interviewing are comedians for the most part so don't let the first couple questions kind of detour you. Buzz Williams is an amazing person and a role model. He talks about his daily routine, what he holds himself to-accountability wise, and to and what his "dreams" are/is. Really, really good. I really picked up a couple things from him that I would like to try to incorporate into my own life.

Jerome Hunters ceiling is extremely high imo. I think Woodson could turn him into a star. He's the ideal NBA style player Woodson is wanting.
