How come someone that played for Knight come to this conclusion about HS players and the portal? It is insane. You build teams through high school players. You compliment with portal/transfers.

The more I learn about this deal the more respect I have for Dolson and the more I dislike Woody. Hopefully Dolson is able to persevere through this deal and actually have a chance to make his own hire.

And the intelligence and the basketball IQ and the basketball coaching decisions.

So stupid. Moren has the girls program at a level that Woody can only dream about. She is a shining star at IU. The girls do things the right way.

Isn't one of Mays best players from the state of Indiana? I agree he would need some good assistants with connections, but that is every coach that comes in. May would have a lot of buy in from people from the start IMO.

Welcome aboard KathyC. Interesting thoughts. I am sure that will lead to prob 20 more pages this morning, lol. When it became apparent that things could possibly change this year I was pretty much in the May camp. Now you guys around here have got me on board with Pearl. If we come out of this deal with either of those guys leading our program I will be happy. But I just worry we are all being led on another wild goose chase and we will either end up with another year of Woody or some no name coach from University of Hackensack to be the next coach.

I know several Bull fans that would help pack his bags.

I believe it. When I was in a previous school district our conference had a fairly active message board. After awhile pretty much every school developed a rule where admins were not supposed to be creating accounts on the board. But I had several administrators say they would check out the board a few times a month to see the lastest gossip and what people in their districts were thinking. I would think the same would carry over to something like this. They will all say they do not care or look, but they are looking or have people that look for them

I would bet money on the fact that some influential people check out message boards at least occasionally to see the direction of the wind. Now they probably do not post, but I would bet some are around

I understand that situation and it does not change anything. In fact it could actually hurt the situation as he knows what things could be and sees clearly that they are not going back to those days.

Anyone that thinks May wouldnt go to OSU is just being foolish. Indiana is not a destination job anymore that people would wait on. It just isn't. I know that is frustrating to some. But it is reality.

Everyone that wants change is getting their hopes up. There is no other way.

Let's not overlook the important stuff around here. Has Chris fixed any more BLTs? I have been craving them since he mentioned them earlier in the week.

Personally I think too much is being made of his wife coming along with him. That matters not to me. What matters to me is the way it all appears to be going through the motions. He seems as if he is only doing this stuff because he was told to and he gives the feeling of being lazy and entitled. Which are two things that really surprise me considering he played for Coach Knight and was so close to him. I have coached at the high school level for several years and it is pretty easy to spot the coaches going through the motions. It happens a lot at the high school level. It should never happen at the college level. And it pisses me off. And while I do not condone what the man said to him in person, I completely understand it. Our basketball program deserves someone giving it their all, and if you are not willing to do that then go find another job. Hell he could find a lot of places where he could teach the game of basketball and survive being lazy and go through the motions. But it should not be at IU.

My post is reasonable. The end of the season is not here yet. We will see what happens then. Your post is unreasonable. you are acting as if they decision to bring him back has already been made. There are too many moving parts right now for that to be true.
