Woodys arrogance comes from nothing though. He has literally done nothing in the world of college basketball and he acts like he created the world. At least McCollum has accomplished something and has some skins on the wall.

The only thing that gives me hope at this point is I just cannot fathom Dolson tying his tenure to Brownell. The Cig love/support is only going to carry him so far. Eventually he has to get this basketball program fixed or his tenure will be a failure. And I am confident he knows this.

As jackdaddy pointed out we should all be thankful that Dolson got ahead of things and got Woody out before the season was over. There is no doubt in my mind he and his supporters would be pushing hard to get another year since they are making the tournament.

Well sure, but I do not see that in the same situation as what they did with Woody. McCollum is smart enough to do this on his own. Woody needed people there to hold his hand about everything college related.

No way they surround any coach they hire this year with coaches like they did Woody. That was a unique (terrible) situation. McCollum would not need this, nor any other of the coaches who have been mentioned in this thread.

I am coming around on McCollum after watching him this week and reading up on him. He is a WAY WAY WAY better option than someone like Brownell. I definitely think he builds his offense around the talent that he has. I read someone earlier that said he does not believe in fast breaks. That is such a terrible thought that it does not even deserve a response. His Drake team just yesterday scored off of several fast breaks that came from their defense. I am still all in on Stevens. But if our fall back option is McCollum then we are in a good spot I believe.
