You also have Goodman's daughter Talia who covers IU sports as a student in the sports media program at IU. Not saying that means anything, just something else of note when it comes to any possible sources/info.

I don't think Stevens will be IU's next coach, but with all he's accomplished, I wonder if there's any desire to try to win an NCAA title. Obviously he's been 2nd twice. Maybe that (being so close) is something that he thinks about at times. I've heard from many athletes that getting to a title game and not winning eats at them for the rest of their life (because they know how close they were). He's won at the highest level, if he would come back to college he'd have the opportunity to be one of only two people to ever win both an NCAA and NBA title (not as a player).
