Then higher seeds get the home game. I think there are 4 regions with 8 teams in each one. -

Without him we wouldn't have been in position to win those games -
Why are there so few championship games today in conference tournaments. I remember back in the day when on the first Saturday of championship week there would be 3 championship games but now only got one.

Sometimes I wonder why as fans we let an out outcome of a sporting event effect us so much. We have no responsibility on what happens on the court and can't do anything about the outcome. It seems we take things so personally when our teams lose and that our self value is based on how how our teams does. I have witnessed my teams winning championships plenty of times and in the end of the day it didn't change my life for the good or bad. -
No, because Murray St will get an at large bid if they lose. That will take one spot from a bubble team.

Mike Woodson and His Coaching Staff

I know why they coach and at one time that was my dream to be a college coach. It just seems like a hard way to live with all the pressure to win quickly. The amount of time you have to spend away from your family. That you have to kiss the @$$ of 17-18 year old players to come to your school and dealing with all of their hangers on. -
I guess to early to see if having that many conference games effect our tournament performance

Probably should have made it more clear. I meant coaches having to deal with players being on social media and reading what fans are saying about them. We have no idea what is going on in these players life. Maybe a player has a few bad games it is because they are having some personal problems or something with their families. Sounds like the few games XJ played bad was during the time his grandfather lady away. -

I heard CMW say in interviews he wants TJD to shoot but he doesn't feel confident to do so. -
I think someone said 2018

I rather go by my eye test over what some computer geeks think is important. I have watched enough games over my 51 years I can tell who is a better team. I don't have to look at some made up stats to tell me who is better.

Today's bottom two or three teams have more talent than those UW and NW teams of the 80's. On the other hand the top of the conference doesn't have the talent level of the top teams back then.

I agree because I don't like 20 conference games. I like to see what the big ten record is in the tournament since we went to 20 game schedule.

I am never for win at any cost and the IU I grew up would never want to see that. To me it is embarrassing to this fan base that so many newer fans want us to win no matter what. I rather have seasons like this than win knowing we had to cheat like hell to do it. What elite coaches do you think will leave their current job to come here. If it was true we did try to get Stevens for 10 million and turned us down. Why has other blue bloods this past year hired a former player and assistant coach instead of an elite coach. I don't think you will see elite coaches leaving their current position to go to a place like IU. Why did UCLA get turned down by elite coaches and had to settle for Mic Cronin -

Didn't you read my last sentence about programs who are successful, the recruits will over look it but we are not successful. I think the some of the reason you see guys like Few and Wright not leave for jobs like UCLA is that they don't want to deal with idiot fans of top programs. You noticed that some of the top programs lately have filled their position with former players who has no HC experience. -

I really don't know why anyone would want to coach college basketball in this day and age social media. Fans act like they have the right to just bash people and make it personal. -
Yo me the top of the conference back then was way better than what we see today but the bottom of the league is better now. The difference between the top and the bottom of the league is a lot closer today. Back in the day you pretty much had 4 easy wins a year against NE and UW. It seemed like you had 3 tiers with 4 at the top 4 in tbe middle and two way down below

He scored 38 so the offense worked. In the first half he was really aggressive and took over the game -

I think our fans are part of the reason we don't get better candidates for when we have a coaching opening. Why would any successful power 5 conference coach leave to come here. If they come here and don't turn it around year one then some of the fan base starts calling for your head. Also I think how our fans treat the players on the team you say you love is a problem with recruiting. If you are successful and have fans like that then recruits will over look it but right now we are not successful. -
Back in the day it was a round to in schedule where you played every team twice. At one time every team had a travel partner. It was so much easier to keep track of the schedule. IU travel partner was OSU and if IU played at UM on Thursday then OSU would be at MSU. On Saturday it would be the opposite.
