not me I think this team will win the big ten. I think we will see improvements from guys like Bates and Geronimo and think three of the freshman will be key contributors. I also think with how well Johnson played at the end of the year we will see even better for the whole year. Also with how much the rest of the conference lost and how much experience we got coming back is another reason for me being optimistic.

I was very proud and many other fans were as well that we won without cheating. We looked down on UK because they had to cheat to win
-
We are a blue blood but not elite. To me blue blood means the history of the program. Elite to me where you are currently. I also don't ever want to have UK history because they have had more major violations than any program

Actually I was off on this post and changed it because I forgot about sweet 16's in 78, 83 and 89 was wrong about 82 so it was 13 out of 23 years of making at least the sweet 16. It was nice going into every game this king you will win every game. There were no games during that time that I thought we had no shot of winning.

I was born in 1970 and in my first 23 years IU went to the final 4 in 73, 76, 81, 87, 92 Went to the elite 8 in 75 which should been another final 4 and national champion. 84,93 Won the NIT in 79 and back then the NIT was a big deal. Lost in sweet 16 in 78, 80,83,89,91 I did this off the top of my head but thinks it is pretty accurate. So that is 13 out of 24 years at least making the sweet 16

If it was up to me Galloway and Kopp would probably play 10mpg. Obviously those 4 teams didn't have trouble getting to the final with mainly playing 8 players
-
Look at the final four from last year and every team had at least 3 starters to play 30+mpg. UNC had 5 over 30. To me it is best to play a 8 man rotation who plays the majority of the minutes.

We beat Cal 2 out of the last 3 meetings

DD said he had talked to Cal and heard about this but Cal didn't want to play IU this year.

Probably the player who this thread is about -
Did they forget that they ran 3 straight plays to get him open for 3's at the end of the Rutgers game.
-
I guess I would take Vonleh since the other guys are to old to play full court basketball

About his thoughts on NIL?

I don't like hearing about kids thinking about being one and done before the season starts especially if you are not a top 10 player. I have thought that Banks would be a huge surprise those year
-
Probably be able to finish 4th in the Big Ten pretty consistently but no higher. I wonder if Saban or Myers could get IU to win the conference.

As long as we don't lose anyone who still has eligibility I definitely see us being a contender in the big ten.. It is hard at this time to know everyone's roster next year. JHS/Cupps Bates/Gunn/ Newton Banks/Galloway/ Leak Geronimo/? Transfer Reneau/Duncomb To me this is a very good team
-
That is fine but it gets old seeing mainly doom and gloom about a season that is a year away. Like I have said before is some people look at things in a positive light where other people see the same thing and look at it in a negative light. You see a couple of recruiting misses and players who leave and can't see how it will work out. I see it as some guys who have out in the work and by next year will be huge contributors. I see guys like Duncomb by next year being a key contributor and even a starter. When he signed a lot of people thought he was the type of big that UW has gotten and by their junior year developed into good players. I also have read great things about CJ Gunn and think with time he will be a solid starter even by next year. I see guys like Geronimo and Bates next year being star players in the league. I see next year that Reneau being a all big ten type player. I have said from the beginning that Banks might be the best of the freshman long term.
-
I think him coming back would be better for the long term health of the program than him being one and done. It is better for most programs to bring in guys who are really good but guys who aren't good enough to be one and done players.
-
My god why worry about next year and be all doom. And gloom even before this season starts. Next year's class won't be totally assembled until May and a lot of things can happen in the mean time. I saw someone post on HSN that we are stl pushing for McQueen to reclassify and thought if he did it would be for IU.
