I'm 3 pages late on this but what an absolute tool. We're in a pandemic. Crowds are limited at games. There are no day-games until tomorrow. It's a workday. AND it's 43 degrees with thunderstorms and winds of 20mph. What did the guy expect?

The piece in this thread I find interesting is that the same person that broke Sampson detail to 0708 is who is providing it this time. How many people from the AD have been around since Sampson? I guess more continuity in the BoT so possibility there. Hard to imagine the circle of trust would expand much further than that given the delicacy of ongoing discussions.

I don't think it even matters. If Brad wants out, it would be a dereliction of duty by Ainge to force him to stay on given how that would be received by the owner, fan base, and players.

It's amazing how so many national guys latch onto a narrative and speak it into existence. Archie had fierce defenders all over the place until halfway through this season. What else do these guys want the IU fanbase to do? Crean got 9 years and had very obviously worn out his welcome among high school/AAU coaching and parties inside the AD. Archie was not able to generate ANY momentum in the program at all. You either had to let him go or extend him and an extension would have been a buy-out move more than anything. Tim Brando was on 1070 this morning as well just railing against the fanbase for about 15 minutes telling us the best we can hope for is Dane Fife. It's really shocking how much contempt there is for Indiana out there.

I think if you get into April without an announcement, it will be pretty obvious what the play is. If we get to that point without word, I'm happy to wait until the day of the 1st game next year without an announcement if it ultimately means it's Stevens. Edit: Have seen a lot of HSN transplants here recently. I am PhinithreeMagic over there. Was on the old Scout forums and signed up on HSN when Rob hit his game-winner vs Butler. I thought we were onto big things at the time. Here's to my new moniker becoming outdated as quickly as the old one!
