  1. Love the fact it's a newly created role (staff identified the need) and we filled it with an NBA guy (good connections). Hopefully this is a shot of adrenaline heading into the portal fully staffed.
  2. I don't know for certain, but I think this role has responsibilities that more closely resemble an NBA GM's. I'd assume he wants to be a GM some day and this job probably is an opportunity for him to say he had more ownership over the acquisition / roster building processes and worked directly with the coaching staff / AD, which would mirror the NBA front office dynamic between the staff and ownership. Imagine at some point he will touch on his motivations in an interview.
  3. Awesome news. Glad to see this.
  4. Let's go Wisconsin
  5. Wonder how different Auburn's season would be if Bruce didn't ditch them so Sonny boy could have his chance. Doesn't seem like these nepotistic moves ever work out successfully
  6. Thanks a lot, Quinn Buckner and Mike Woodson. Too painful to imagine the alternate universe where we have Cignetti and Dusty at the same time. Couldn't have both. We'd be too powerful.
  7. And he had a 3 game stretch where he was 16/34 (47%). He is a streaky shooter and pretty redundant to Wilkerson so he plays second fiddle. In the last 4 games he has attempted 4, 7, 5 and 2 three pointers. Hard to get into a flow for a player like Dorn on that kind of volume. There's a lot he could improve obviously (like his handle, driving and finishing). IMO if his defense improves a good amount, he could be a 4th or 5th option on a very good team.
  8. Definitely some low lows this year. Some on court coaching things I think could be done differently, but no denying this roster is limited in a lot of ways. Feels like they'd really benefit from getting a GM on staff. Gotta see some learnings implemented next season. Huge offseason coming up.
  9. Year 2 will be interesting because we will see what is a DDV trend vs what may have been one-off issue with this year's team. No doubt he will need to learn a lot from this season. And be more successful in the portal this year.
  10. Well thrusting him into a game like this when he hasn't been playing isn't exactly setting him up for success. If you haven't seen anything Miles adds out there, you must not be watching him on defense. IMO he has shown more upside potential than Sisley this year.
  11. No point in DeVries getting himself ejected now. The time to get a T was late in the first half. Clearly it's not something DDV finds helpful though.
  12. Mentally / confidence wise probably wouldn't do him any good to come in against Purdue and get dominated after not being in the rotation past few games IMO
  13. I certainly don't want to see him leave, but I wouldn't be torn up if he did. Find it kinda funny how people pine for Sisley like he'd be significantly better. Nobody is pining for Ristic right now. I get he's an Indiana kid though.
  14. Must be how they feel in football! Probably not as bad, actually :)
  15. Tucker definitely made the right read passing to Dorn, he was just a quarter of a second too late.
  16. He has the same kind of game as the dude at your local YMCA that plays pick up as an excuse to pick fights and pretend to be tough lol
  17. To not get a shot up after their turnover there is ******* absurd.
  18. If the officiating is like this in the 2nd half and DDV doesn't get a tech I will really be wondering why the hell not
  19. At least I can sleep well at night knowing their team is not a title thread and we've likely already seen the best Painter is capable of. Plus, they literally haven't scored a touchdown against us in years, lol. Man... they SUCK!
  20. As if Bailey can push over TKR, lol. The lack of a consistent whistle is what pisses me off
  21. Let's try to cut this lead in half before halftime
  22. TKR throwing that shoulder / elbow like Edey used to. Lol. He will probably have a kinda OK career in a mediocre overseas league for a handful of years before he is selling cars or holding a clipboard and Gatorade.
