Crazy about IU

I remember having this argument with my brother . He said who is IU going to be able to get to do any better than what we have. I said a successful mid major coach. I said they are out there. Then along came Cig. The bottom line is coaches make a huge difference in all sports. There are a lot of good to ok coaches out there. But only a few hall of fame. Also IU has the resources to be very successful in basketball. Only time will tell if the current coach has what it takes. I feel our talent level last year was below par for the Big. This year looks different. I hope coach D gets me off the fence. This team has enough talent to compete at the top of the Big.

No I totally agree with you. Yes it’s probably very difficult to get a good player to come in for limited minutes at point. I am only saying he comes in off injury and who knows how he holds up. I believe he’s my biggest concern about next years team. I think we have two guys who can play the post. I think he’s the most be we can least afford to win.

It’s pretty obvious we must not have much money left. But I do feel we have a much better team than last year. My biggest concern is At point guard. Burton goes down we are probably in a world of trouble. I would love to see a top eight rotation piece with the last scholarship. I feel at least one or two of the freshmen are going to have to be a solid piece for this team to be really good. But I do feel we should be a top 20 team if we stay fairly healthy. My bet is we end the season no worse than a 5 seed. I was more concerned with last years team. We ended up on the bubble.

I would rather get one more player that can contribute. Like a volume 3 . Then 3 basically practice players.

I believe they call that a tell in poker .

So far a no hitter. Just kidding I believe we are going to get better talent this year. I know most of us old timers wish we could roll back the clock on IU basketball. I don’t like where college basketball has gone. But in some ways it may have leveled the playing field. We all know a lot of colleges used to pay under the table . I believe those schools will have a more difficult time getting the best of the best year in year out. Bottom line I am still basting in the sun on our national title in football.
