  1. I’m sure you went to some of those games too. That $5 balcony seat let me go to some more games. Got to see Matt Roth go off while we were getting our butts kicked OSU. But there were a lot of empty seats everywhere. But there was also more hope, patience and understanding from the fans about where we were as a program. 3. “15,000” doesn’t sound like a bad number. But when you see the 2.5 thousand empty seats, it looks bad. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  6. It was an old white dude. Same people. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. In Creans first couple years attendance was rough. Tickets may have been sold out, actual attendance was a different story. That was with the $5 balcony seats even. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. You’re definitely playing better teams more often which is a difference. It’s not like those coaches didn’t have really good teams at VCU, Ohio or Dayton but it is different. That Ohio team with Armaan Bassett could clearly compete with high level P5 programs on any given night. And that’s really all that matters. Same with some of those VCU and Dayton teams under Smart and Miller. This years Dayton team is the same way. Would they be undefeated in the Big Ten? No. Doesn’t mean they aren’t a really good team though. And I know there are plenty of fans who try to bring mid majors down by asking how they’d do in a P5 conference but that’s just dumb talk. For those schools, it’s whether or not they can get to the NCAA and if they could last a couple games against some middling to high level P5 schools. Recruiting is much more difficult as well. You have a much larger range of players to go after at Dayton than you do at Indiana. Rankings and stars don’t mean as much at Dayton as they do at Indiana or Texas. Some have been successful though like Beilein who had went to a Final Four at George Mason. Archie though, seems to be in the Smart and Groce party and not the Beilein. 10. Considering how big of pansies they are at ITH, they’d never care to make it a story. They will blow smoke up their butts because that’s their way into IU. It was the same under Crean. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. It doesn’t matter who is in. Archie’s offense makes it to where someone is always posting up where driving lanes should be. That’s why Rob can’t get to the rim. Because there is always a teammate in the way. Shooters wouldn’t change that. It’s an incredibly easy offense to guard and makes it useless to ever help off anyone. Even if we did have shooters, they’d never be open. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Nothing will change if we continue playing TJD and Brunk together. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. It’s already been pointed out that shooters won’t help. The offense purposely clogs itself. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Brunk is the 2nd best rebounder. And he does hustle. But the floor needs to be spaced and we need athletes on the floor. The two bigs things just ain’t working. It would be different if we were just killing people in the paint and on the birds, but we aren’t. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Our starters stats in our 4 game losing streak: TJD: 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2 blocks, 1.8 turnovers, 50% FG, 84.2% FT, 29.3 minutes. Smith: 8.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 turnovers, 50% FG, 50% 3FG, 100% FT, 29.3 minutes Rob: 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.8 turnovers, 43.5% FG, 62.5% 3FG, 33.3% FT, 26.3 minutes Brunk: 6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1 turnover, 55% FG, 50% FT, 20.3 minutes Durham: 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 turnovers, 36.8% FG, 30% 3FG, 83.3% FT, 25.3 minutes Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16. That’s why I would start Franklin and honestly play him 30 minutes. Play Rob 30. And play Al 20. Things aren’t working as they are being played now. If you’re worried about you’re job, you make drastic changes. Which is why I’d move Brunk to the bench and Hunter in to start. And I know that’ll make some butthurt because of their love affair with Brunk. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Al might be a coaches son but unless the Monstars are stealing his game before he walks out, he’s not a high IQ guy and makes some of the worst and laziest passes on the team and is the only one who like to go 1 on 5 on a fast break. If you’re going to attack Smith for doing what he’s best at, then you gotta dish out to everyone. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. Sure. So then I’m guessing someone steals Durhams when game time starts? Greens? Anderson’s? Those players consistently make worse decisions than Smith. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Yea because no one else on the team shoots bad 3’s right? Literally everyone does. And over this 4 game losing streak, he’s shooting 2-4 from 3. He didn’t even shoot one against OSU. The team doesn’t exactly go or not go with or without his offense. But he’s our 2nd best player. He’s got a higher b-ball IQ than pretty much everyone else except maybe Brunk and TJD. Robs is average. Durhams is low. Greens is... I’m not really sure anymore I guess it depends on the moment. Franklin just doesn’t have the experience yet so he still has his freshman moments. So you may say he’s dumb on the court but we don’t exactly have a team of Basketball geniuses and that includes the staff. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Then you either have something against Smith or overvalue the rest of the team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. He may think it, but he still clearly doesn’t do it and still goes inside for 7/8 of his shots on average. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. They have and over 3 different coaches. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. He obviously knows he’s not a spot up shooter. He’s shooting 0.5 more a game this season but he’s also shooting 28% instead of 22%. He’s still shooting 7 shots a game from inside the arc and shooting a little better percentage than last season. Just watching games, he clearly understands what he’s better at. Problem for him is that the lane gets easily clogged because there is always someone posting up on both blocks. No room for him to slash and that’s setup by Archie. Y’all may want to hate on the kid but he’s probably has the highest IQ on and off the court on the team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Wouldn’t exactly say Butler is rolling right now. They might be 19th but they are still 6-5 in conference. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Or he will go somewhere with a basketball coach that will know how to use him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
