  1. Great programs make it every year or incredibly close. How many times has Duke, UNC, UK, Kansas, Gonzaga, MSU, OSU missed in the last 20-25 years? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. I went into this season knowing we’d win about 15 games in the regular season. We won 17. Still super frustrating though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Weird how you would tell a fan bye rather than attempt to feel them back in... doesn’t make much sense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Hmmm... so the guys at Kentucky are too pampered... that’s why they are so relaxed right? Guys at Duke? Kansas? UNC? MSU? UM?
  5. It isn’t that Walton was bad, it’s that there was no talent to start with, then LeBron was added with Magic making dumb decision after dumb decision to go with it. Why give KCP so much money? Why any at all? Why get LeBron and instead of just filling all spots with every shooter you can find on the planet... you go get Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley and JaVale McGee... the Lakers problems are not from Walton. He just had to deal with the stupidity of Magic Johnson. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Rob is a hell of an athlete. In case no one remembers him jamming it against Northwestern? But he was outside the Top 100 as a recruit for a reason. Yogi was a 5 star recruit for a reason. Sure rankings can be wrong, but majority of the time they are saying something. Yogi had the “it” factor and the balls and shoulders to carry a program. Does Rob have that? Maybe. Yogi put the program on his back for 3 seasons after Zeller, Vic, Watford and Hulls left. And we got 2 NCAA tourneys out of it and a Sweet 16. Yogi was part of 3 of the 4 NCAA tourneys we’ve been to the last decade. Yogi was a very special CBB player and a vocal leader and lead by example. People need to slow their horses thinking Rob could be Yogi. Maybe remember back and understand how good Yogi was in his 4 years. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. People are just looking for hope. Sadly, we will like finish 8th and below. Might include an NCAA birth? That depends on how weak the bubble is next season. Michigan State will be the team to beat if Winston stays as they’ll be starting Winston, Langford, Henry, Tillman and Ward. That’s probably good enough to start them out at #1 in the nation next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. They may be hitting everything... but this is still the 6 seed of the NIT... if people think we will be better next year, you best be taking off the crimson glasses... our best hope is that a bunch of teams in the Big Ten get worse next year. Best just prepare yourselves for a rough 3rd year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. And we suck again! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. And we suck again! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. Think about this, we were an NIT team this year. Everyone on the team seems to have hit their ceiling except Rob. We lose Juwan and Romeo. Replace them with TJD and Franklin.... so how much better will we be? Probably worse. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. 15 years ago that was the NBA. But different now. Lot of good coaches in the league now who actually get after it. And those are of course your best teams. Kerr will rip into someone. Everyone knows Pop is great. But Budenholzer is a hell of a coach. Pacers probably should have hired him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. When I went and tried out for the Mad Antz, I looked up their contracts. A G-League player now will make about 30K. But it has been said that once all 30 teams have their own, it’ll jump over 100k. And they’ve already started building new contracts to go along with G-League players that have been drafted by NBA teams and have been stashed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. He’s building up his resume still. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Not any better. We still barely beat Arky who was without Gafford. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Well it has turned into this “well why should I have to go to school for the NBA? Why should the NBA have requirements?” A narrative created by brats. But it’ll be good for the NCAA. The NBA is going to miss on a lot of kids as there will be A LOT of kids leaving after HS. But CBB will have kids playing who want to be playing CBB. And you’ll see a lot more 3-4 year players. 17. He would have to find the right situation in the NBA. As in playing for the Warriors. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. I’ve told him he’s a pansy before for not asking hard questions and he just made excuses about how he has to stay professional. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Once all 30 teams have a G-League team, look for that to happen. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Maybe. The problem was he was likely lying. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. Michael Avenatti(Stormy Daniels lawyer) arrested for extortion attempt of Nike. Apparently co-conspirator was Mark Geragos(Kaps lawyer). They tried riding the trail of the big scandal... but when you try and get 20 million from Nike to stay quiet.... funny stuff. He was going to announce it all in a news conference... not now. CBB and twitter would have gone crazy for a minute. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. Indiana sits about even most years in profit from the athletic department. And you’re going to tell me they could afford paying men’s basketball and football players 30K a year? Are we talking paying every single player? Most schools work around or below even. Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama and a few others could afford it, but most wouldn’t break even on the year. 23. Has been a weird tourney for sure. The 2nd round shouldn’t have so many blowouts. There should be more close games. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. So the last time all 12 on the top 3 seed lines made the Sweet 16 was 2009. 1 Louisville vs 12 Arizona 2 Michigan State vs 3 Kansas 1 UConn vs 5 Purdue 2 Memphis vs 3 Missouri 1 Pitt vs 4 Xavier 2 Duke vs 3 Villanova 1 UNC vs 4 Gonzaga 2 Oklahoma vs 3 Syracuse Oddly enough... 3 1 seeds were from one conference, there was a 5 seed and a 12 seed. The 12 seed was also a Pac10/12 school. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. All four 1 seeds made the Sweet 16. All four 2 seeds made the Sweet 16. All four 3 seeds made the Sweet 16. Them two 4 seeds, one 5 seed and one 12 seed. Oregon is the Cinderella team this year. When was the last season all 12 of the top 3 seed lines made the Sweet 16? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
