On the bright side, at least there is no Turgeon buzz. With Dusty May signing an extension with UM and the completion of the IU coaching Sweet 16 tournament, our list is complete. How far down the list do you think IU goes? 1 Brad Stevens 2 TJ Otzelberger 3 Mark Few 4 Scott Drew 5 Todd Golden 6 Bruce Pearl 7 Greg McDermott 8 Grant McCasland 9 Chris Beard 10 Ben McCollum 11 Shaka Smart 12 Buzz Williams 13 Mick Cronin 14 Chris Collins 15 Richard Pitino 16 Brad Bownell 17 Mark Turgeon

That's awesome. Getting as an asst to Stevens would be a real coup

Land whale?
-
You should look into @IsaacTor then. He's got all the Stevens dish.

You know it's BS? I didn't see any reports on ESPN or anything about this.
-
Hand wringing over MW possibly being retained vs Pearl clutching over daily rumors of SD's coaching search demise. Pick your poison
-
Pitino and Brown never left a college HC position for another, so that's 5 coaches in 40 years (ES to UK in 1985) of college coaching hires to leave a successful program for a "blue blood" program with the last of your list being Calipari in 2009. So I would say it's generally not a thing.

What's your point?
-
There are quite a few people on here that think short, Stevens, Pearl, Drew that IU will have failed. Well maybe it's not quite a few, just a couple boisterous negative nellys
-
I wasn't going to name names...
-
Name the last "blueblood" program or any program that has convinced a coach to willingly leave his current top 25 team to take over their program. The only one I can think of is Roy Williams and that was a dream job situation. All this Few, Stevens,Pearl talk is most likely just silly dreaming. But McCollum, McDermott and the like type hires would not be a woe is me the sky is falling situation, well other than for the eeyores of this world.

Trying to figure out if this is going to be a Stevens/Few positivity day or a Brownell/Turgeon wallow in misery day on BTB. Trending up but its early
-
Before you get to Brownell. Before you get to Turgeon Before you get to Beard. Will Frigin' Wade!!!

UM MSU ending ugly

Dusty May is 2-4 with 3 home losses and 3 losses by 13+ points and 2 squeaker wins over Rutgers and Neb since his extension. Just sayin'

Not saying Goodman doesn't have sources but stating Coach X won't be IU's next coach takes zero knowledge of what is happening, literally every person on the planet minus one will not be the next IU basketball coach. An easy way to sound more informed than one actually is, is to state as fact unlikely names as absolutely out. Chances are he is correct and sounds connected, if he ends up being wrong, it's easy to say things quickly changed, or my source was mistaken.

How so?
-
Yeah, just dreaming a bit. He would certainly be a surprise. UF is my second most favorite team so I actually hope we get a great coach not named Golden
-
Meh. We know his stance on Stevens is based on a vague quote. Dusty May being out is obvious to everyone TJO inexplicably loves Ames Iowa Drew being officially out is only mildly news worthy. And that is assuming he isn't just talking out of his a$$, which is highly more likely than not.

Todd Golden
-
He's both wrong and right at the same time- Schrodinger's idiot
-
Maybe he is being honest with himself and he fully expected to be wrong
-
All the recent game announcers' sappy homages to him, like he's some sort of historic college BB figure saying goodbye after long successful career, only feed his delusions of grandeur.
-
He actually thinks a nail biter home win against a bubble team is something to crow about? I'm mystified by how a person can ignore such obvious failure. It saddens me a bit that he makes it hard to root for this team.
