(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
HoosierDYT replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Interesting development... Memphis just picked up another recruit for the 2019 class. While the commit was only a 6’4” guard, Memphis now has three recruits for the 2019 season at or over 6’7”, the #2 player in the nation at Center, an unproven coach, and retuning big men. I think it’d be crazy to go to LSU right now, especially before everything presumably blows over. Is it too much of wishful thinking to believe that would leave Watford with just us, Bama, and a Duke team still in the run for Matthew Hurt that hasn’t offered Watford... I’m kinda starting to like our chances even more even though I don’t think it happens unless Brooks goes elsewhere Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

It’s impossible not to notice the overwhelming amount of IU comments under his tweets. Seriously, if he wants to go where he’s literally wanted and needed, it’s pretty darn obvious Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Anyone know if he came up today? I’m guessing no as someone would’ve seen him. However, seeing the Hoosiers rolling, Phin looking good as ever, and Trayce dropping 40 points last night, we have to look pretty darn enticing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Every player loves the pull-up for the game winner (the Curry effect), but I’d much rather see a hard drive Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Agreed...but he kinda has to play the whole game so I sort of get it. But man was he dominant! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I think he just doesn’t know where he wants to go honestly -
Pretty tough game from leal today. Didn’t play bad, just didn’t stand out. The youngest Jager runs the show for South Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

They weren’t at the first game, but I’d be surprised if someone isn’t at the game tonight to watch Leal and TJD. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yep, but they haven't officially offered yet -
Over Marion’s? Come on now! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Wow...there doesn't seem to be a lot of great coaches willing to move right now, so it seems like UCLA is reaching, but it could work.

Is it possible that just as Romeo favored Louisville and then they got in trouble, Watford favors LSU, they get in trouble, and he chooses something that is definitely “clean” in IU? Probably not, but we can hope Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

2020 General Recruiting Thread

Great analysis, Demo! Seems like someone to take DD's spot upon his graduation. But...do want that type of player? I though CAM would want someone who can hedge and return quicker -

Oh scoring should make it much easier, I totally agree. If we don't land him (I don't think anything is set in stone yet), it could potentially help the long-term growth of players like Hunter, Al, Phin, Damezi, etc. -

Idk I think we desperately need his scoring, but specifically his playmaking. Romeo, green, and Morgan seem to be our only playmakers and we could be losing all 3. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Let’s just win the next one :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2019) CG Harlond Beverly to Miami

Those edits are cold! It's been said many times before, but I really love what our media team is doing, I think it's big for recruiting, big for our fans, and big for IU -

Also, while Romeo has improved maybe a little bit in each area of his offensive game except three point shooting, his defense has been absolutely phenomenal. I know that was one of his perceived weaknesses going into this season, and Dakich and other commentators raves about his effort, which I contribute to Archie and the rest of the staff Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Probably a question for @Uspshoosier, but does Dayton losing last night and Alabama losing today help our chances?

As someone who has been very pro-Archie of recent, I think this game is an excellent time to remain level-headed. Yes, we won and could be dancing. But while Archie made some excellent adjustments, I'd say there were many questionable rotations and substitutions the first half. He's not perfect, but he's improving. He's our coach of the future imo So cheers to watching our young coach grow into an excellent coach and our young core finding their roles and consistently hustling. Let's hope we have a few more weeks on this crazy, emotional, passionate board!
