This is some really, really bad football. I can't imagine there's a worse P5 match-up today.

We need 7 yards, so we throw a 3-yard pass. Have we not learned ANYTHING this season??? I've lost count of how many times we've done that.

I just hope our guys don't get intimidated by the crowd. It looks as if there could be as many as 15,000-20,000 people there.

That was one of the things that frustrated the bejabbers out of me about Crean. He spent several years with Izzo, yet while MSU was tough and physical and played defense, we were soft and played no D. And while Izzo was always able -- even after so-so regular seasons -- to get his teams to peak in March, Crean's always seemed to fade out. I guess he didn't learn much.

So, I'm working and decided not to pay for BTN-plus. I go to IU's website, click on game stats and see we're down by 20 points. The person running the stats app must have things backward, eh? Good grief!

The BTN is really honking me off. I pay an arm and a leg for my cable package -- of which BTN is a part. So why would I have to pay even more to watch an Indiana basketball game (IU-Indy game was only available on BTN-plus)? Heck, at the very least, I figured I could watch a replay on BTN2go for free today, but no -- you even have to pay extra to see that. I didn't necessarily want to review the entire game -- just check it out for a few minutes. I haven't seen us under Archie yet. Very disappointed in these money-grubbing scumbags!

I know it probably didn't make much of a difference in the long run, but I still don't understand that replay that ruled we fumbled. For one, I'm not sure that the video proved enough to overturn the original call. For two, the official came running in, blowing his whistle and gesturing that the runner was down. Isn't anything that comes after that moot because the play was blown dead? If a runner is wrapped up by a defender, his progress is stopped and the official blows the whistle, that's it. If you hit the guy after that whistle, you're gonna get 15 yards added on. So why, when a play was blown dead, should anything that happens after the whistle matter? I've seen games with plays like that in which a ref, after a review, says, "The ball was fumbled, but the play was blown dead. So the ruling on the field is upheld." ... I just don't understand that call.

And there probably will be 22,000 fans at the Rutgers game -- making us look absolutely ridiculous on whatever channel that game is on.

Might have to look pretty hard to find a Power 5 conference game that will have less interest than Indiana vs. Illinois next weekend. I know we can win out and still go to a bowl game, but 6-6 does not excite me.

I think it would be interesting to see Lagow run suicides with the IU basketball team. The hoopsters would be to the mid-court line and back before Lagow even makes it to the first free-throw line. That dude is really, really, really, slow.

That's a BS call, in my opinion. The official blew the play dead. Once the whistle blows, you stop. How can Wisconsin recover a fumble on a play that was dead?

Yes, it's third and 21. But why give up on the drive? Why not at least try to get a first down!
