I love seeing this, too. ... I know it shouldn't matter where a player is from, but I want Indiana kids to succeed at IU. ... In addition to hitting the weights, I hope he's in the gym, shooting 500 jumpers a day. I think he had a game or two early on where he was hitting, but after that, he couldn't throw the ball in the ocean ... I've seen high school highlights, and he seems as if he had a pretty nice stroke from distance; don't know where he lost his way as far as shooting ... With our lack of shooters, there's gotta be a chance for him to get more PT next year (especially if he improves on D as well).

On the way home from walking my dog at the park, I heard a national sports radio update. The guy said Iona's Tim Cluess is no longer a candidate for the St. John's job. But he pronounced it I-ON-A. How can you be a national sports radio announcer and get that wrong?

I had to check, double check and triple check this to see who actually posted this ... I thought for sure it was Hoosier Guy ... LOL!

I'm so pissed. I didn't know JuMo was gonna play in the PIT. That's about a half-hour or 45 minutes from where I live. But my office hours are 4-12, so I'll be working every night. Otherwise, I'd love to go see him play.

Any transfer news on our front? Anything new with Damezi or Justin? Or anybody else for that matter (other than Devonte). I was thinking we might hear something after Little 5, but so far ... crickets. Does that mean we'll stay at three open schollys, or is there still a chance someone may bolt?

Interesting ... A guy who played at William & Mary, which plays in a horrible league, just fired its longtime coach and has never been to the NCAAs, is now choosing among Carolina, Notre Dame and Michigan.

I also saw a Twitter post -- can't remember from whom -- that said MSU and U.Va. were the leaders here. But unless I'm wrong (and there's certainly a good chance I am), I thought Izzo had used up all his scholarships. Jerome and Hunter just declared for the NBA draft at U.Va. (and I don't think there's any chance they come back), so they'd have two open -- though I'm not sure who's coming in. Plus, I'm sure Bennett still has connections in Wisconsin.

Ty Jerome says he's skipping his senior season at U.Va. and hiring an agent. I'd say it's about 98 percent certain he won't be back. Maybe 99 percent.

They are brothers, but I don't believe they're twins. This guy -- a Wisconsin writer -- seems to think Michigan State or Virginia is their next stop. I'm guessing both would have to sit out a year. If MSU is the choice, that's definitely true -- I don't think they have any scholarships remaining.

Plus -- although I've never been there, I would think Reno would be a pretty cool place to live. Seems like a cool city and you're within an hour of Lake Tahoe.

Southern Miss job is open ... I'm guessing he wouldn't want to go to Mississippi, but to me, this would be a good test for someone like Fife. He's probably not ready for a place like Cincy, and although C-USA usually only gets one NCAA bid, it's a decent mid-major league.

When I was a senior at IU, Damon was a freshman. He had a stretch in which he played pretty bad -- although since he was just a freshman, how can you tell? ... Anyway, there was a rumor that his head was all messed up because his longtime girlfriend who followed him to IU from Bedford or Heltonville caught him in bed with a Colts cheerleader and went ballistic on him. ... Too bad we didn't have Twitter back then!!!

One of the emojis is of someone CRYING. In the photo, the fellas are at a GAME. The other emoji suggests something secretive. ... Some of the guys got together and watched "The Crying Game," didn't want anybody to know about it and Justin is ratting them out. ... Seems fairly obvious to me.

I still wonder if Alford ends up anywhere this offseason. Would he take a mid-major job, or would he hold out for a Power 5 gig? Would a Power 5 school want him? He reportedly was "in the mix" at Arkansas, but I'm not sure how much I believe that ... He seemed to be a pretty good fit at New Mexico, then bolted for the bright lights and big city of L.A. And I've read that ever since he left, UNM has been a dumpster fire. Sometimes, the best move is to not make a move. ... Would Nevada be a fit? I would think Reno might not be a bad place to live (though I've never been there) ... I guess we'll just have to wait and see ...
