He can’t. He is getting high on his own supply. Others in this thread have listed two teams that have been consistently ranked in the top 25 that brought in 5 portal guys last year. Two doesn’t scream “lots and lots of examples” to me.

Also, I can see how 5+ transfers could work when you have multiple players following a coach to a new location. That is not the situation we are in.

Name the schools that brought in 5+ players in a single year from the transfer portal, and now have multiple transfer portal starters, that are killing it. This shouldn’t take long since there are lots and lots of examples.

I am guessing that Woody is keeping some of the guys that were going to transfer.

It doesn’t make any sense to me either. We were given chickenshit and we were told that it is chicken salad. We took a big bite, realized it was chickenshit, and instead of spitting it out we ordered some more.

The whole reason that some people want an “IU guy”, is because they think that coach will work their @$$ off for IU. It is already baked into the cake. We obviously misjudged that when we hired Woody. Shame on him for not caring enough about IU basketball to work hard, and shame on him for not stepping aside when it is obvious that this program is heading toward disaster.

It isn’t an age thing, it is giving a ****. For all that is made of the fact that we can’t fire Woody after 3 years because he is an IU guy, how unforgivable is it that he does not want to do the things that are necessary to succeed? This job should matter more to him, because he is an IU guy. That is such a slap in the face to all of us ToXiC fans. Say what you will about Dusty May, I guarantee that guy would put every ounce of his being into making Indiana basketball successful again.
