As far as I know, he wanted a shorter amount of years but a higher per-year salary, an assured abundance of NIL each year, and a certain amount of money for the assistant pool.
-
One thing I will say about Isaac is he heard things that no one had heard. That's why I was agreeing with him on some things. Until he named a date, time, and channel. But before that, he had info in real time that I was hearing from the non-IU side. I don't believe he is located in Bloomington if he has any ties to the real Isaac Torres

I will go a step further and say that a couple of people who had to go back and find more money said they wanted a guarantee this time that if they found a few more million to throw on the deal it wasn't going to be a no. From everything I heard they got that. That was the morning of the 14th. Then everything took off till Goodman in the afternoon. My sources haven't said much since. I have heard other people saying different things but it goes in cycles. Every time you hear something good within a few hours you hear something bad and vice versa. So who really knows?
-
Don't forget to add we are never hiring Chris Beard.
-
It could be but I don't agree with that from knowing some other things that happened last offseason.
-
First, as I have said many times I have not heard of any deal being in place. I'm leaning more that Brad won't be the coach most likely but still don't know. Also want to state I like Sam a lot, he is a good dude and has always been super nice to me. But I know for sure we have been working on Brad, and communicating with him for a long time. Where it doesn't add up for me and all of this took place before the 14th. From my source's booster side of things, we offered him a contract, and he thought about it and countered it. With the counteroffer, Scott had to go back and ask certain people for more money. That all happened before or on the day of the 14th. Then the Goodman info comes out and things have been super quiet since. I find it very hard to believe that all of that info I have heard from many others on here is all bull and we only got a 5-minute Zoom call. But as I always say I've been wrong before

I will say if it is true that Stevens said no on Friday the 14th (Not sure I believe yet) and Dolson let Dusty sign the extension a week later that is not a good sign.
-
Yeah, that doesn't add up.
-
The one thing I don't understand is if everything worked out the way people say it did. On Feb 14 Brad said no thanks. Then wouldn't have Scott been on the phone with Dusty's agent that afternoon saying he has big money coming for your client as soon as the season is over since we all know he was the #2 choice. I don't care if his family loves Michigan or not, (don't believe it) we could have given him a much better raise than the 1 million he got with the extension.
-
That might have been the case, seems like that is slanted a little from a trustee's side of things. But let's hope it is different this time. I do know that there were two main people on the list this time with others listed. But as I say I've been wrong before.

Yes, I keep peaking over there and seeing that. They have nothing. Soft chatter he keeps saying. Maybe it really is that quiet, if it is that might be kind of scary.
-
I've heard him say that. He also deletes things when people talk about him, he kicked Cleeter out of chat last night when he brought him up. It's weird. If for some reason his name gets brought up in a couple weeks he will be like I had him on the hot board the whole time
-
I'm surprised this isn't a bigger deal for some. Trilly who is connected with every agent hasn't heard of Indiana reaching out to anyone right now, Rabby who is pretty much just connected to agents and AAU people and hasn't heard much, just soft chatter. Both have said they have heard things for other openings but not ours. For the life of me I just can't figure out why :-)
-
I would not be happy with Beard, or Brownell so far from the ones I've heard. Cronin would grow on me.
-
The family vote took place when he was offered the IU job not the Celtics job. When he was offered the Celtics job his kids were like 6 and 3. I don't think they got a vote that young LOL
-
I have never heard of a date. All I have ever heard was Brad has respect for Woodson and wouldn't want to do anything to disrupt the season.
-
You could be right. For some reason, I think he will come back on March 1st and give us another date.
-
I don't think I still have them but I remember who the people were. I will say almost every mod reached out and had my back. It made me want to keep coming back
-
He went a little haywire about naming a date, time and station
-
The CBB thread is the longest with Fire Mike Woodson next.
-
Had no idea. He always seems to have really good info as far as I know.
-
I will when I have heard from someone I trust that it is a done deal. Some others have heard things like that but I have not. Also I thought it was done last time, people believed me, I felt I let them down and I got some really nasty emails from people. Just trying to avoid that
-
I'm trying to be a lot more careful this time than I was last time. But I will say if I find out that IU has moved on, I will be the first one on here saying McDermott or whoever is my guy.
-
I read where they think Brad Brownell would be a grand slam hire for them, along with Sean Miller
