It's possible that we have passed on Porter. Race and Clifton have been playing well enough this spring for the staff to think they can contribute for next season. So we can bank that scholly for 19 or let McRoberts use it for 18.

Maybe they are telling them about TJD and letting him know he is second on the list in terms of who we prefer but we would take him and Brooks.

Yes and I think we are showing him today how much he is loved. That when this thing starts to snowball in a couple of weeks we hope he jumps on the wagon.

I believe the plan was to always have a PG in 18 and to have one in 19.

I think it was a head fake more than anything but also Alford refused to interview for the job, either give it to him or not he said.

I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of these kids. Were on a recruiting roll but I think it has to do with the staff having a plan and following it. I'm just going to enjoy the heck out of it and hope it last for years to come.

I'm telling you that Hurt is very much in the conversation. Hurt's dad is his and was Race's AAU coach. He is very impressed with how Race body looks and how much his game has changed in a year. He will contribute next year. We are in the conversation for him, that's for sure

We'll know more this weekend when the coaches are in Indy and Dallas checking out AAU. I expect two 19 scholarships to be taken by the end of the summer. Maybe 3.

Well as an 11-year-old boy at the 87 national championship banquet I couldn't wait for the autograph session at the end. But to my surprise who was the only player who left without signing one autograph. Yes Steve Alford. I think he has always had this side to me. My dad played golf with him a few times and always had nice things to say about him. I also believe there was a story about a secretary and hot tub at Iowa and his wife coming home early. Anyone remember anything like that?

I just think all of our 19 spots are going to be taken by TJD, Brooks, Watford, Hurt or Carton. I think Stewart, Franklin, are all next in line

If you ever see him there and he is playing basketball ask him if he wants to play a game. He loves to play one on one, two on two or three on three. Just don't get in the way of one of those elbows. He's got a strong back to the basket game.

And he's still the absolute nicest person in the world.

I can tell you for sure he was advised by the current coaches to put his name in the draft. They want him to get the feedback from NBA scouts and not just take their word for it. He was told this a couple of weeks ago.

Correct it was who I heard it from. They never mentioned the venue. They just said Romeo will pick IU on the last day of April.
