  1. I Know a lot of people don't like Dakich but we need a coach that does interviews with regional media people.
  2. Jeff Goodman thought Archie Miller was a home run hire. Who cares what he thinks. Let's let this play out. Glad he is prioritizing the team first. Need to know if these guys are coming back or not.
  3. Would love Lewis/Cheaney/and a young former NBA player on the staff. They have to keep Trayce, Armaan, and Lander.
  4. I'll get behind it. Not who I want but I don't know anything. My issues are two things: 1) Can he recruit? 2) If he wasn't an IU grad, would he even be considered? I think we all know the answer to question 2. Let's let it all play out. I'm not thrilled but I'll give him a chance. I hope he has a good staff AND they hit the ground running.
  5. If people know, no way something doesn't leak today.
  6. Rabby has been too quiet...since Friday. I think it's him.
  7. Goodman is too busy eating popcorn at the game right now.
  8. Isn't Chronic on the Stevens train like us?
  9. Just curious- where does this search rank as far as the past ones? If I remember right four years ago it was quiet. Many of the media suspected Alford until him saying he wasn't coming to IU. Donovan was the pipe dream. Archie wasn't really a surprise as he was a top 5 guy for most. In 2008 Crean was up there after Bennett turned the job down.
  10. I said something similar to this last night. If we go into Final Four Weekend with no coach....we will see.
  11. I have to think they are going after Musselman right?
  12. I think I agree 100% with what you just said. I don't want Porter and I won't be happy if it's him. But I think we have to let things play out. Archie Miller was this great hire according to the media and look how that turned out. My biggest concern is can Porter get guys who have the talent to compete in the Big Ten? We won't know for awhile. I just don't think he can. But it doesn't matter what I think. It matters what actually happens.
  13. I'll give whoever it is a chance and I encourage all you guys on here to do the same. I'm an IU fan. You're an IU fan. We spend some time on here so we care. But I'm not going to be happy if it's Porter. My interest in the program will drop big time. Yeah, he can win and I'd eat crow. I just think this is exactly what Indiana did four years ago. Hire the hot mid-major guy. I think Porter Moser is a fantastic coach in the Missouri Valley Conference. That is a good league and his teams have been pretty good for the past four years. I'm just afraid it's "well this worked at Loyola so it'll work at IU." That is literally what Archie Miller thought-just insert Dayton instead of Loyola. Indiana says they want to compete for National and Big Ten Championships. That's not me saying that. That's what Dolson and Glass have said at their pressers when they fired their coaches. I don't see any evidence that points to Porter Moser accomplishing that goal. I sure as hell hope he does! I'll give him a chance. I just don't see it. The new coach doesn't have to be Brad Stevens. I just hope it's a proven P5 winner that can come in here and have an immediate impact. If Indiana hires Porter Moser I'd be stunned if Lander and Franklin come back. You have to have talent in the Big Ten. The style Porter plays I just don't see him getting those guys you need to compete in the Big Ten.
  14. I’ve been watching the games... just to sum it up, things got quiet after last Friday from those in the know. It’s possible that was to a) give Stevens time to think or b) distract everyone because a deal was in place or c) we aren’t sure what’s in the Celtics contract so he may have to wait
  15. That’s my thing. It’s like a game of poker I guess? If Scott feels good about moving forward, go for it. But I think soon (I’d say this Next week) if you think the odds of him not coming is high, you gotta move on.
  16. It was when he answered a question from Goodman.
  17. If not for COVID, this all could be resolved in late April. Now with that stupid play in crap it may go into June.
  18. IF (it seems there is speculation a deal has been reached) he is still thinking about it, there has to be a time Scott moves on. He can’t kill the program waiting for our top guy. He either wants it or not. I get taking a few weeks. Not two months.
  19. I can see “buying time” in case he wants to think about it or giving the Celtics time to find a replacement but waiting until June would cause problems for Boston and IU. IF this job stays open much longer (say mid April) talk will start and Indiana players and recruits would have no clue what is going on. Those on the Celtics would wonder if he’s leaving them. If Brad comes to IU, he’s going to have to step down. Don’t get me wrong, I’d wait til June if it’s him. Just doesn’t make sense.
  20. If this is the case I feel confident this can still happen. Just no way I see them waiting until June.
  21. He is clueless. He’s too busy dancing with the animated cartoons. Cringe.
  22. And if someone like me can figure it out I sure know Scott and Brad do. I expect something to go down in the next week or two with this job.
  23. If the vacancy goes into next weekend and Arkansas isn’t playing, the chatter for Stevens will heat up I think
