Coming into this season, the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes had 1 returning starter and 1 sub with any Varsity experience from a team who finished in 3rd Place in Class 2A last year. Everyone accepted this was going to be a rebuild year with a ceiling of perhaps a regional championship. They finished the regular season with 11 losses, won the regional in OT, won the Sectioonal semi final game against a team who beat them in December and were ranked high in 2A. Friday night, they beat a very good team in OT to win the Sectional Championship and advance to the Supersectional(our Elie 8) tonight.
