I just got home and immediately watched the game. I didn't know who won, but someone let it slip the first al score was 63-62. So when Morgan made the play, I was ecstatic. 618 is cutoff. We have had 2 play at the mid major level, my uncle in the mid to late 60s and another kid who played for EIU in the early 2000s. We have had numerous play at DII and III level. The girls had 2 play for the Illini in the late 80s and early 90s. We have had quite a few of our players go on to play DI baseball. Yes we have one if the top 2a programs in Illinois, both girls and boys. Our girls are one of 2 girls programs with over a thousand wins.In 40 yrs, they have 5 State Championships, 6 second place finishes, 3 3rd place finishes and 1 fourth, along with numerous elite eight finishes. Total record is 1070-195. Boys have a State Championship, 2nd place and 3rd place finish at State, along with numerous regional, Sectional and supersectional wins. Total record 1859-719. I see this picture and I contrast it to the video if the Nebraska title game I saw last night after the game. The crowd was definitely larger for this opening round game than their title game. There would be more problems than benefits with a shot clock. Look at the problems they have at the college level. Now imagine all these schools having to find 1 more competent person to operate the shot clock. Many schools have a hard time finding a competent person to operate the clock, stats panel, or keeping book, especially small schools. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
