  1. Screw you Winthrop! Or screw us for scheduling them....
  2. Zags protecting the bubble tonight.
  3. If only the Bulls/Pacers matchup had been in Indy tonight. That would've been perfect.
  4. It's tomorrow now. You'd better be at work.
  5. What if I told you they didn't settle?
  6. Agreed. Money levels the playing field for those that have access but have never had clout. However, I would throw in a third important factor: A motivator. We've seen what happens to a coach with considerable X/O skills but zero motivational leadership a la Archie Miller.
  7. Double blind. Always the way to go. I agree.
  8. That's any fan base of a high major, basketball-centric program. It takes stones to take on any of those jobs, yet they can get winners. If the fans are too much, you weren't fit for the job anyway. And this job? This job is at the heart of a state that proudly touts itself as basketball country. This program rose to the pinnacle of college basketball, in basketball country, under a hard @$$ who didn't give or accept excuses and had skin thicker than leather. The expectation for this job was set 50 years ago and hasn't been met for 25 of them. The person who can withstand the scrutiny, block out the noise, and handle his s*** is the person we need on our sideline. That person cannot also be the same person who gets feelings hurt by rabid fans.
  9. 3 of 4 losses in OT, and the one regulation loss by 5. They have never been out of any game.
  10. Efficiency is the biggest issue. Play style dictates the margin for error, more so if your defense sucks. That said, get me a guy who can teach kids to put the clamps on people. There's nothing better than seeing an opponent realize the pillow isn't coming off their face until 40 minutes have passed.
  11. And they do have breakfast so get us started early.
  12. If the process is still adding possible candidates to the list then they're either horrifically underprepared (not likely) or they're striking out on a lot of candidates before him (also not likely). I think its 'soft chatter', so soft it's nearly inaudible.
  13. Guess the young man can turn his focus to the next phase of his career a little early. Mt Vernon defeats Greenfield Central to bring Braylon Mullins' high school career to a close in a 2OT burner. Mullins with 38. Purdoo commit Luke Ertel with 36.
  14. Air Bud was a baller, I'm sure he knows the game well enough to keep things competitive.
  15. Watched a couple of close sectional final finishes simultaneously, and while I wish the gyms would be filled up like the tournaments of yesteryear, I'll say ihsaatv is super convenient.
  16. We're very likely dancing. Now, gentlemen, when you get there... Serve me the crow special. Extra rare.
  17. Diebler 4-eva! (Ahhh, so that's how it feels to be the rest of the conference)
  18. Nah don't feel bad. He was going door to door so he's probably a Purdue grad anyway.
  19. These guys have to find their guts right. now. And the crowd has to stay with them through OSU mini runs. This is the last chance to put yourselves in position to win, fellas.
  20. It'll be Atlantis all over again. We'll crap on a national stage to end the year just the way we began it.
  21. Honest to goodness there is no reason to take this team to March. The odds of further embarrassment are so high it's not worth delaying the overhaul (hopefully) coming to this program.
  22. Goode currently badde. (And do not pretend like I just called him a baddie) Gotta keep shooting though.
  23. IU could actually shoot better if they really did try to shoot out of their a$$.
  24. I'm going to ask a question, and this may have been discussed on the board before: Why we ugly?
