I don't know the timing on when he made the comment but my guess is Colin and Doug are looking at it through fairly different lenses when it comes to experience. McDermott has been much further around the block now as a 10 year NBA vet, and he's also saying that after watching his former lead recruiter and assistant coach succeed consistently wherever he's been. Colin's support of Archie was probably more in the moment, relatively speaking. Who knows, I could just be an idiot. But I have a better feeling about DD than I did AM.

I'll agree with the fact Mullins would be a difficult flip. I'll agree the 2-time champs label is a really good look and indicative of very good coaching. I'll agree that Hurley is the recent most successful coach. He's not the best coach in the country.
