  1. A pretty decent interview overall. If you've been paying attention to Coach Cig since the hire some of his comments you already knew. But there was some new stuff in there as well. Breneman: "How's the NIL support been at Indiana?" Cignetti: "It's really good. It's a lot more than what I was promised. I'll just put it that way."
  2. NCAA, Congress (legislative) and US Judicial made their beds. Until we see changes at those three levels (legislative in particular) this will be common practice. Every athlete will shop in this environment. I would do the same. And if this happened to me by a company today you better believe I'd lawyer up. Especially with that kind of money. Let's just hope IU doesn't get caught up in this kind of stuff.
  3. That is correct. My apologies. Thanks for the correction.
  4. I am bullish with IUFB 24. We've stacked the roster with proven winners. Granted they're winners in G5, but winners nonetheless. By doing that it creates the culture of winning in the locker room and I won't be the least bit surprised to see something we're not accustomed to this season. For example, winning close games. We had 4 one score losses and lost to PSU by 9 last year. I understand that was a completely different roster but it was also a completely different coaching staff and culture in the locker room. I foresee IUFB winning at least half of our close games if not all of them. No self-imposed limitations. -Curt Cignetti
  5. To be fair, I'm not sure if he was assigned to Marvin Harrison Jr. but the 4th overall pick in this year's NFL draft only had 2 catches for 18 yards against his team. He did have a PD that game as well. Considering how bad things were last year, he was probably one of the players on the team that was above average. But yeah, I get your point. Aaron Casey was definitely a standout player for IUFB '23. Maybe Jaylin Lucas? But he was a disappointment for me personally. He had a better '22 season in my opinion.
  6. Top 100 Edge out of Roswell, GA 247 Rivals On3
  7. Just looked at the B1G schedules and Rutgers got a gift from the gods. 8 wins isn't out of the question for them.
  8. It's his second visit from what I understand. UGA dropped out and he had an OVC available. He must have a really good relationship with Coach Sunseri.
  9. He's basically talking about IUFB. These comments make me wonder if this is a good overall strategy. While I completely agree with what he's saying that's not what is happening. Players are shopping. LSU had 27 enter the portal. Does LSU not have the cash flow?
  10. A good replacement to fill the Blidi hole. LSU's Brian Kelly has a certain value placed for the position. NIL is so interesting. He also missed out on Blidi.
  11. Ok now we need Khurtiss Perry to hop on this wave.
  12. Yeah, I want the tea.
  13. Vandy. Close to home and for his family to make the drives down to Nashville for home games.
  14. He ended up at App State, unfortunately.
  15. https://x.com/NahjiLogan/status/1787212074990371253 UMass LB transfer.
  16. He can play all techniques!? I watched his highlights and while in high school he played every technique on the DL. If that's the case he'll be a valuable addition for Coach Kuntz. Let's hope we land this guy just for having a utility player on the DL. My word, what an asset to have.
  17. No disagreement from me in regards to the context of what you're trying to convey. All leaders have a style and his style doesn't sit well with half of the country while on the other hand it's just the style the other half desire.
  18. Definitely not my style. He's got no issues throwing stones back. Here's the thing though, he might be right. He's got a season to prove it.
  19. Thanks for sharing. I'll just say this. I'm not defending Coach Prime so keep that in mind. Won 3 more games than the previous season he took over. 1-11 the previous season when he took over and he told those players to leave Doesn't bad mouth anyone publicly until they cast the first stones. Xavier Smith cast the first stone is this case Running a high risk high reward program. He's an extremely confident and brutally honest person that rubs folks the wrong the way. Personally, I don't like his style but I respect the heck out of him. The verdict is still out if he's running an unsuccessful campaign. It's only his second season but he tripled the school's wins from the previous season. I would say that's far from unsuccessful but that's just me.
