  1. I'm guessing they are trying to announce the entire staff at once. I have to believe he has 1 or 2 guys lined up (Flint and Ostrom) at this point and is waiting to fill the rest of the positions before an announcement is made.
  2. Yes he is. I've heard that he is the most talented of the 3 Blackmon kids at that age as well.
  3. I would be happy with Kevin Kuwik as an assistant or DOB also.
  4. That makes more since. I agree I think we should just get garland for 4 years instead of Garland for 1. But that's just me.
  5. He is a SF/Stretch 4. Morgan is a PF and Davis is a C. I don't think those 2 guys would do anything except help us make the case for him to come. Smith could be a problem if he comes in and plays well.
  6. He's a sophomore 2019 class. I agree he should be prioritized for that class although he is still kind of awkward for his size but I think he will be a very good college basketball player.
  7. My prediction is history repeats itself in this aspect. RMK: 6 years at Army CAM: 6 years at Dayton RMK: 1st recruiting class 7 (3 from Indiana) recruits highlighted by Buckner CAM: 1st recruiting class 6 or 7 (3 from Indiana) recruits highlighted by Romeo We lose JBJ, Johnson, Priller, Newkirk, McSwain, Hartman, and Bryant. In state recruits we get are Romeo, Phinisee, and either Jallow or Anderson.
  8. JBJ has declared for the draft without an agent also.
  9. Yep player and recruit status is much easier to get information about in most cases. Also that's how he was so connected and why it was said he wasn't in the gym anymore. Makes a lot I sense.
  10. So currently Davis, Morgan, and Newkirk have said that they are coming back.
  11. Time to feast. AKA I'm coming back for my junior year to Indiana.
  12. I'm just throwing darts here. I was just thinking to that he might be a good fit as a graduate manager. He has connections to Indiana high schools because he is at Guerin Catholic. That is a pretty good program from just outside of the Indianapolis area. If you are coaching there you know a little something about what's going on in the major high schools in that area. Not to mention that it would look good when it comes to building relationships to Indiana High School coaches if he had a former JV coach and Indiana player on staff.
  13. Just a guess but it might be so that he can work with the forwards and his connections to Indiana high schools. I'm also guessing he would either be a director of operations or director of player development.
  14. He was a redshirt sophomore this year so he has 2 years of eligibility left.
  15. Seniors Blackmon Johnson Priller Newkirk McSwain Juniors Bryant Morgan Sophomores Davis Green Jones Gelon Freshman Smith That leaves 1 open scholarship of all of these guys return. So would you rather have Durham, Moore, Wright, or someone else?
  16. Davis would have needed to want them for that to be the case. I know from a prominent former Indiana High School coach that had college connections that he didn't want either because they were one and done players. I also know that Conley got a letter sent to him early in the process by Davis that had the wrong name on it so that was the end of that fwiw.
  17. Well at least Archie is going to touch a ball while he is the coach lol.
  18. Or Miller might think that he can be the coach that makes Blackman guard. Not saying it's the case but most coaches don't doubt themselves.
  19. I haven't seen Hartman at the press conference. Could be a sign that he won't be back fwiw.
  20. I saw Jawan Morgan in Indy today about 2 hours after the announcement. Some guy went up and asked him if he liked the Archie hire and I said he did. Could have been the truth I don't really know but I thought it was interesting fwiw.
  21. I have heard from multiple people there really is.
